you can always pick up the Mace of Disruption, its always in the pool of blood in Bhodi's lair

*slight spoiler for Satis, can't believe he's never joined Bhodi...*

SI you don't lose the ring of protection +2 and the amulet of power cause you can lot them both of Aran Linvail's body when you kill him

ah, ok. Mace of Disruption I would've figured out (yes, I knew it was in the blood pool). But no, never killed Aran.

We still haven't paid off the cowled wizards, either... I'm thinking that once we're powerful enough we'll purposefully piss them off so we can take their money and toys. Never done that, either. :P

Yeah, you can never miss out on any of these. Well, you can if you don't loot Aran's body obviously.

And lol @ the overall judgement of my way of dealing with cowled wizards, which is correct, so i guess i am predictable. I don't see why you would do it any other way; after a few times (4 iirc) you get the big shots of the cowled wizards hunting your ass, some 4 mages with their own names instead of "cowled enforcer" etc. They leave behind some pretty neat scrolls; so if you can do it, whack them early in the game. :)

Other fun law enforers to whack are the band of paladins, they attack you when your rep is really low, again all named an stuff. The best part was when i had my Jester confuse them over and over again and they started fragging the entire docks district. :D After a while i just killed them myself ofocurse. Stupid paladins. :) Just ask BJ or Inqui on details on how i look upon the law in Athkathla, they played along with me. ;)

back on topic; you're gonna love the assignments you have to do when siding with Bhodi Satis. Not the first few, but the final one in the Shadow thief HQ is a gem. nice design, lots of ambushes, deceitfully easy at first glance but harder than one would think. It's one of my fav BG2 areas. Blah, sorry if i spoiled.

Go and clean out the radiant heart btw, it's good XP, and all your true neutral chars hate paladins, speaking in roleplay terms.

well, Minsc and I are both Rangers...I don't want to lose my special ranger powers and stuff. :) Still, I think we have 19 rep right now... perhaps I will annihilate those little dogooders. Is there are rep loss?

Unfortuanetly there's 3 angry commoners in a back room of the copper coronet. I'm not sure why they got pissy, but it happened when I was freeing the slaves and whatnot. They don't do anything (they're in the opium-smoking room) but some day Aerie's gonna throw a rock in there and kill them. I know it.

Just turn her Script off (or turn it off when you`re in the CC) .. they seem to be easily pissed of btw, remember to see them get angry several times. Just ignore them (no ox, he doesn`t have to kill them  )

Btw won`t you be screwed when you get in Hell with all the tests, the test where you have to choose between losing dexterity or such or having your teammate killed? I always went for kill teammate and then just resurrect of course, but if you choose that way i think you become a fallen ranger  .
Unless you could find a way around that or that the main character is someone else in your party.

If you play solo they put a stupid civilian or peasant there btw, so your reputation goes down the drain .. sucks if you would care about rep.

hehe, actually, iirc, there's a way around losing a stat point in that particular test in hell. It involves the spell "spell immunity", but i forgot which school exactly the "spell" is that takes away your stat point. :/ I'll try to get back at you on that. As you can imagine, i didn't often bother choosing that path, so been a long time. :D

I don't think wiping out the radiant heart costs you any rep points, actually. Iirc it's only the guards outside at the doors that cost you rep when you kill them, the ones inside don't. Not sure tho. And, their leader is worth 25000 XP. :D Add to that that they're paladins and you've got reasons enough hehe

I wish i could crash along with those dudes in the opium room, lure Aerie into her first crack pipe and stuff..."corrupting" innocent girls has something unexplicably sexy. :/

Think you`re right about the paladins, only the guards cost you rep-points.

And in case you`re really bothered about those 3 commoners Satis, you can still use that old trick we pulled to avoid the rep loss when getting the illithium back to upgrade the mace (from that artist guy). Summon a few things and have them attack eachother so that they go on a rampage. Or just gate in a demon.

Ahhh... so you can.
I've only sided with Bodhi once, and I'd forgotten. :?

You can also use Protection from Magic, cast from a simulacrum via Helm of Vhailor.

with the illithium, what I planned one doing was getting both the real and fake illithium. Use the real one to upgrade the mace, give the fake one to the artist schmuck (who gets pissy), then give the lump to the church (who still think it's a statue). Isn't that basically what you're supposed to do?

But I always choose to get the real stuff, give it to Sir Sarles, let him have an "accident" and use the real ore to upgrade the mace. :D
