Getting really fucked off now. I cant play CS for some reason! Ive been playing it fine for months and months with the same version, same connection, same mods and suddenly since about a week ago i cant log into a server using All Seeing Eye.

Heres what i use.

- HL update 1.1.1.0
- CS 1.5
- All Seeing Eye

Cant get into a server, i try using the built in launher in Half life and still nothing. It says i have an old executable of Half life and that i need to update it. I go through the update process and it tells me at the end that "Your Half life version is out of date, but there are no updates of Half Life to bring this version Up to Date.

You might have missed it, but CS 1.5 has been updated to 1.6

Serieusly that`s the reason. At first you could still play the 1.5 after 1.6 got released, but since 1.6 is running on Steam they decided to give up on WON, which means you can`t play 1.5 anymore.

I heard that some people have servers running on their own which still run 1.5 but basically 1.5 is dead.

Yea, 1.6 is Steam now. You have to use the Steam program to find servers and such.

anyway, i d/l steam and found out i haveto buy a new copy of HL because some time ago i tested out CS 1.6 on steam witha diffreent email address and now ive forgotten it, so therefore Steam says "only one verion of your copy on one computer at a time"

ah well, i guess thatll set me back £5.

Steam is EVIL!! Steam is the reason why I stopped playing CS online from time to time, too. But with HL2 coming up I might just have to reinstall it, sigh. But it spared you a serious deagle-only asswhoopin' Derf.

If you type in your story i think you get to the point where they give this advice:
It's possible that the CD key that came with your game was accidentally double-printed. To resolve this issue, you'll need to contact Sierra.

They will require a JPG picture of the CD, the CD key, and your receipt.
