Homemade 360 laptop, quite the contraption he's got there.

hehe, that's pretty cool. Pointless to me, but still pretty cool. I wish I had the engineering skills to make something like that happen.

i've just come back from an intense 5 days of engineering in italy. i dont actually think that's very clever. If you have access to rapid prototyping or CNC mills it's quite easy. Flatscreen monitors are very common now and it takes nothing to disassemble a 360 and swap out some parts.

I've seen the inside of a laptop... all the tiny screws and meticulously threaded wires scared me enough I won't be cracking a laptop open for a long time (at least not the screen). Putting the guts together doesn't really scare me though. Oh well.

Some day, Derf, you and I will become billionaires. You build the device, I write the software, Ox keeps the mobs back.

Yea but since americans love everything that is big and mean, it might just be that they will have to use it on their own dog :D

you might be right on that one. after all, a dog has lots of hair, just like hairy people, just like iraqi's who were capable of delivering a WMD in 40 minutes. Guys, there is a connection here! Waste your dog now!

lol, psycho bastards. Meanwhile Derf's briefcase machinegun is perfectly European and civilized. Anyway, that gun is pretty lame imo... why the hell do I need a folding gun? And is that even legal?

nah, if I'm gonna walk my dog, it'll be with a full auto shotgun.

You see that pistol has automatic fire and with a stock it probably has good accuracy. Nasty stuff, especially for the good guys (cops etc)

At what point does a pistol stop being a pistol and become a submachinegun? Just curious... they both fire pistol rounds. Is it the stock that makes the difference?

well, the germans like to call them machinepistols.

Let me take a punt...

Around the time of the first "machine guns" the standard issue weapons were manual bolt action rifles. when machine guns came out, they were automatic and therefore seen as kind of "machines". After that, small caliber (personal) automatic guns came out which were less powerful than full blown machine guns, so they called them submachineguns.

i think a pistol refers to a 1 hand semi [haha]. so Peltz, you are a n00b.

In that case I think its a question of dimensions for the purpose of portability. But heck, what do I know. Peltz youre an expert, you shoot at the range frequently dont you?
