This is cool.... Tom's hardware has a review of a drive built around a bunch of flash chips mounted on a board and connected via PCIE. The performance numbers are staggering. The price of flash will continue to drop rapidly, so this kind of thing may become more affordable in a few years. |

I would pay $300 for a 128GB SATA drive, assuming the performance was worth it. For now I'll probably save my pennies for an Intel drive... after all, it's performance I want. Hopefully over the next few months the prices fall and performance go up across the board. |
