Post Tv-out question
As you all know I'm abroad and bought a laptop to feed my addiction when on a roll. This laptop has a 512mb vid card and a TV-out port. I brought quite a few movies and series with me from home, but as you can imagine I prefer seeing them on a TV over a laptop.

The flat I'm currently staying in has a TV, so I decided to pick up a tv-out to scart cable and hooked them up. It works, I can fiddle with the settings on the laptop to make a optimal adjustment to the tv etc, except for one thing: there is no colour.

No matter what I try (different tv channel, newer GFX card drivers, fiddling around in the GFX card settings) I can't get it to show any colours on the TV. :(

Anyone have any experience with this? I read somewhere that maybe the cable is too long so the signal is too weak, but it's only 5 metres or something. Any help would be appreciated. :P

Is it the right video encoding? Europe is retarded... you all use PAL, but different countries have different specific frequency ranges and crap. I support equipment that does video signals and that's a regular problem. Make sure the video output PAL settings fit what the tv is expecting.

Other than that, I dunno, you covered all the pc side stuff.
