I use a switch to go between my PC and Mac. The Mac recognizes the mouse and keyboard in less than a second, but the PC takes about 5 seconds to recognize the hardware when it reconnects. Know of any tweaks to make it recognize them faster?

I'd never heard of that, but a quick google makes it seem that isn't abnormal. I didn't find a solution, I'm afraid. Perhaps some more persistent googling will pay off.
