K cheers.
A friend has an old ass P3 running on XP with USB 1.0, and she cant get her USB wirelss adaptor to fire up because XP wont recognise the drivers.
Solution: Buy a new PC. Its chuggs anyhow.

Well thats your problem, 2 standards that should never go together "USB" and "wireless". Better yet "USB" and "networking" should just be a no-no.

yea, USB isnt' all that reliable. Anything that requires a constant connection should never be connected via USB. Stuff that does burst communications (like printers, scanners, memory sticks, cameras, etc) are fine.
Does this person have some sort of personal hatred for internal wireless nics?
