Title says it all. sorta.

Both mine and pev's PC's are oddly not allowing us to go to log in pages in any sort of record time. I'm talking around 3-5 minutes loading each page.

I've doen a virus, gonna do adaware/spybot and trendmicro and I'll post back. Mean time, share the knowledge :D

Must have been ISP side. I did a trend micro, nothing but cookies and this: clicky

Anyone care to put that shit in simple terms for me?

And anyway, the issue is gone, but it went on both PC's (So both PC's are fine now) and yet Pev never scanned.

did you try only one website? Probably the website was slow. Try another website next time.

And if it's multiple web sites, do a speed test. SSL requires alot more overhead than HTTP.

heh didn't know mole had posted here.

well like he says its fixed now, no clue how. We both virus scanned, nothing, he did spyware scan too. Was every site that required any kind of log in.

I tried:
Plaync account login
Horizons login (web game launcher)
Gmail

I gave up on all but plaync as i needed to get it to create an account for a game. it literally took me from 19.00 to 20.30 to do the following steps:
Log into account
Press "Add game"
Enter cd key
Enter personal details
Choose account name/password

Every single page took around 10 mins to load because it was in an shttp://. Normal webpages took no time at all to load, including forums i was already logged in for. Also google refused to load, because i have it set to the personalised homepage so it was trying to access the secure part of the server to get my preferences.

I eventually got to download previously-mentioned game, that downloaded fast but logins were still hideous.

God knows what it was, my guess is the part of the ISP that handles encryption was having a panic attack.

shttp:// uses a different port that the regular web. Maybe you had a momentarily interruption of that port as secret government equipment was installeda t your ISP to sniff all your encrypted traffic.
