 Intel makes an ungodly chip
Check this crap out... $130 Pentium chip clocked at 2.66ghz. Tom's hardware was able to overclock it to 4.1ghz! Absolutely amazing.

And it's dual core. Of course, it needed water cooling to get to 4.1ghz, but christ....show me another chip that can be overclocked by 54%.
Anyway, I must say, Intel probably did this by accident, but it's very impressive.

I might be able to hook you up. Does it have to run for more than a couple seconds?

From your point of view Satis, is there a necessity for that kind overcloking and speed?

honestly? No. I don't like to deal with the complexity of water cooling and juggling clock speed vs voltages vs memory speed/FSB etc etc. However, to someone that doesn't mind dealing with that, they can basically buy a $130 chip, a $150 water cooling setup, and then they can overclock it and get the same performance as a $1000 chip. That's a pretty damned good deal, especially to someone that likes overclocking anyway. That's like buying a 4 cylinder engine and being able to outrun a trans am with it.
