Does athlon work with DDR2? Some one just told me it didn't, and I don't know why or whatever.

Afaik, if your mobo can work DDR2 you can use DDR2. Nothing to do with CPU or anything. :)

I tried looking it up, and it almost seems like there aren't any AMD motherboards that support DDR2. I read an article saying why, too....DDR2 is almost dead, DDR3 is almost here.

This could be crap...I do believe the CPU has nothing to do with what speed/type of memory you can interface with. It's all in the chipset. So see if you can find an AMD motherboard and that can support DDR2 and you've proven whoever this is wrong.

One article that I read, said the AMD's plans are to skip DDR2 and start work on DDR3. So that seems to coinside with your findings satis.
