Post internet connection
I'm curious, what's everyone's connection speed? IE, rated speed your ISP sells you, and actual download speeds from a good site.

I'm currently with comcast and get either
4mbps/386kbps or 6mbs/768kbps
I'm pretty sure I have the latter and I pay a total of around $60/month

I just preordered with Verizon for 15mbps. :p But that doesn't happen for another several months. Supposedly it's $39.95, but we'll see if there're any extra fees hiding in there (like ISP feels and such).

I believe I am supposed to get 8Mbit here on my uni internet, but it can be quite slow (well, relatively off course) at times. I pay 3,46 euro for that every month. :)
And on my student flat I also have a huge network off course. :D
Firefox' bandwith tester says I have 546,5 kbits down at the moment, but that's with p2p programs up and downloading.
I have a 50 GB upload limet per month, after wich my upload is limited to 128 kbit/s.
That's it, I prolly had the wrong capitalization (when do they abolish that shit, just call bits szlotties or something), but you get the idea.

I'm on 4.6 Mbps download, 256 Kbps upload. So basically very average...a limit of only 10 gig though :( (divided over both up- and download). After that I'm put on ISDN speed....but I can purchase an extra 5 gig for 5e any moment I feel like it.

Like when I've reached the download limit ten days before the end of the month and am extremely annoyed by teh 1337 slowness.

well apparently ours is 1mb with a 15gig download limit per month (go over taht you have to pay the extra depending on what you use) but some days (like when mole streams random funny videos) i swear we might as well be on 56k dialup again.

Maximum for me at home is 300kbps which is 37kBps. But on average its usually about 33kBps at best.

At uni, its something rediculous like 8Mbps.
