I used to play BD, Shadows Of Amn all the time. My computer hit a nasty virus a little while ago and I had to get it fixed. I'm currently downloading the game again, but everytime I reach disk 3, a component transfer error pops up. It reads: Component Transfer Error Data Error (cyclic redundarcy check) D:\CD3\Data\CD3CreaAn.bif Does anyone know what this is and how to fix it? I'd appriciate it a lot. Thanks. |

If you are downloading the game, at least LIE about it and say installing. I'm actually assume you meant installing anyway, I hope. Any hoo, downloading stuff is bad and illegal and talking about it will get this site shut down... or something. Anyway, let us know if you mean installing. |

lol, well, assuming by 'downloading' you mean installing... a cyclic redundancy check (CRC) failure means that your media is bad. IE, the CD is scratched or smudged or something. Clean the media. If that doesn't do it, your media is probably corrupted. Alternately, and this does happen, your CD-ROM is crapping out. If you have another drive/computer to try it in, check it out, see if it works on another box. |

Edge? Edge?! Pah, your understanding of the universe is primitive, peasant! It is not an edge, it is a collection of small stones placed carefully in the shape of a sqaure, anything that goes beyond it turns into a butterfly that returns to Jerusalem with one ripe melon. |
