Just a question: At how many FPS's do you first begin to notice a bit choppy-ness in general? |

That is a VERY over generalized question. You should be more specific. I mean, if Im running Hl2 at full resolution and maxed graphics your going to get more choppy instances then if you have it on low rez. Normally anything 5 and below is choppy. All depends on your graphics card and game settings. |

What i mean is, in terms of frames-per-second, what do you find acceptable and not-acceptable? Because on a graphics card benchmark chart (using 1 game), you have on the X axis, FPS and on the Y axis the graphics card. Now, the range of FPS bwteeen the cards runs from something like 180 to 60. So the question could boil down to... At which point (at how many FPS) do you (or poeple in general) begin to notice discomfort (or choppyness) in the visual performance of the GPU. In other words, do you notice the difference between say 180 FPS and 100 FPS? |

rofl....depends on the game, to be honest. Specifically the speed of the objects/characters. Something like HL2 or SWG, characters and objects move pretty slow...I can be fine with 15 fps. However, in Quake III for instance, shit moves FAST....anything less than 30-45fps and I notice it. 100fps is freakin' fast, I'm not noticing any 'slow down' at that framerate. Obviously, the higher the FPS the better, but that's mainly just in case you hit a lag-snag....ie, through luck, suddenly there's 20 characters on screen and 6 exploding bodies and your FPS tumbles to 10% of what it usually is. At 160fps, I probably wouldn't notice. |

Cool. Thanks. That helps me alot with interpreting the benchmarks now. |
