*strangles derf
15 lines of code?
*strangles derf's dead body
*urinates on derf's blue face and bulging eyes
I've build entire web applications in a text editor. In fact, I never use anything but a text editor for anything I do web related...except for Flash of course.
*sets Derf on fire

OMFG. STFU n00b! No one uses WYSIWYG for any kind of a complex site! That is the height of amateur web design.

w00t! N00b! u r n0t uberleet unt1l U can c0d3 a s1t3 in a t3xt 3dit0r.
next you'll be telling us that unless you're connecting to the internet through AOL dialup that you're not on the 'real' internet, and that IM is the first and only way for real-time communication, and that A/S/L should be added to the dictionary......
anyway, all real web designers I know code entirely in text editors. WYSIWYG is what noobs use.

Derf, you must just suck at coding (i'm not saying i'm any good, but I try) WYSIWYGers suck ass. The only program I'd agree to using, (other than graphics ones) are ones like satis mentioned, that make things easier to read. Text editors are just better for better control.
Of course, you could WYSIWYG it, then as whoever (sorry, i forgot who) fix it your self, but it's easier to read your own code than someone/thing elses.

rofl yeah so much BS that even Satis, who, i must admit, is a pretty 'techy' guy, hand codes. rofl.
sure WYSIWYG are good when you're learning (tho i've never actually used one lol, never had access to one when learning at home) but after that its just easier for you to put the code in yourself. programs usually complicate things (not always) and might put in 3 lines of code when you need only 2.
gah i totally agree mole, i hate reading your webpages rofl. only coz you don't bother with the same indenting as i do. stupid uni teaching me to make it look good as code lol.
rofl i think ox has taken over pigs mind.
Arathorn: it stands for "What You See Is What You Get", in other words you just paste pictures in and type where you want (like making a Word document) then the program converts it all into html so that *in theory* it looks the same in your browser.

Can you please give links to pages that have been made using text editors? I would very much like to see what kind of stuff is in there.
And Mole, you say i must suck @ HTML. Well, i bet your daddy could suck a golf ball through a garden hose.
