DMZ: off
1: off
2: off
3: off
4: off
Internet: on
Modem has:
power: on
usb: on / off according to whether i yank it out or not
enet: on
send: flashing a little bit
recv: flashing a little bit
sync: on
ready: on

well, that implies you have an active physical connection, but that doesn't necessarily mean anything. Can you plug a pc directly into the ethernet port on the modem (where the wireles router currently is)?

welp, guess that makes that pointless. Other than switching out the actuals cat5 cable there's not much else to try. Your issue is somewhere there...either the ethernet jack on the cable modem, the cable, or the ethernet jack on the wireless router. Probably, unless it's a software issue, but I doubt that after your resets.
*shrugs*

Atleast the quality of routers has improved somewhat. A few years ago 4 out 5 were broken by default.

/me is amazed at Derf's high end technical prowess
So did he load a new firmware on the modem? Or the router? Or drivers on the PCs? I'm kinda curious what the problem is
/me has a degree in computer networking

Well sometimes we need a pair fresh eyes to point out the obvious.
