 Virus Scanner/Firewall Hey all
My Zone Alarm subscription is due to run out in about 9 days and while I love the program, I can't afford to renew it. So any suggestions for a good, free replacement? Don't even bother with AVG, I hate them

Well for Virusses there's also Avast. I prefer AVG though. As a firewall I use Comodo. You'll have to download the free internet security thing but during the installation you can opt not to install the virus protection part (which is not that good). During the firewall installation phase you'll have to choose the minimal Defense+ option, the others bother you too much when installing stuff.

I used to use AVG until they got annoyingly bloated (link scanner ftl). I then switched to Avast, which has been good to me. So that's a second vote for avast. I don't use a firewall since I'm behind a nat router.

Cool, any other options guys? I'm also not *too* fussed about the firewall side of things, also behind a good router here, but I'm not gonna complain if something comes with one

Avast Avast Avast. Did I mention Avast? Firewall...just use windows firewall. Should be using a hardware firewall anyway like a router.
If your already behind a router, no need for software firewall.
