it's not a problem with your mail software. it's a configuration with your mail server.
Basically the mail server is picking up your attemp to send a message through it.
it looks at the email address and possible the originating IP address/hostname
if it doesn't like one, it says no and generates that error... ie, no relaying. Why? Spam. Open relays (ones that don't check email address and/or hostname/ip) are the biggest source of spam.
How do you fix it? You don't. I think Outlook Express allows sending from Hotmail, but they're both microsoft products. You can check hotmail.com and see if they have instructions on how to use another mail program for outbound...but I doubt they do. They're Microsoft.

With Outlook 2k3, is there a way to automatically have your mail sorted into folders according to the sender of the email?
E.g.
All mail from [email protected] goes into News Folder
All mail from [email protected] goes into Work Folder.

oh, http accounts are like imap accounts, sorta. And all the outlook prcocessing is local only and won't affect the web side of things. Is there an option in hotmail (web side) that'll let you do it?
Checked...yes, it does. Check the options. I'm using the Live mail beta and I have to click on the options, then "more options" or some shit, and there's an option in there for "automatically sort email into folders".
