Ooh Ooh! Ive just noticed a fix on SP2. You remember the autoplay window that appears ALWAYS? (even if you select "Do nothing" and the tick box "Always do this").

Well, believe it or not, theyve fixed it. Theyve fixed it by removing the "Always do this" tick box.

I must be the only one having no problems with SP2. That, after off course disabling the security centre and applying the unofficial patch to raise the max number of simultanious connections.

I mostly ignore these things, as long as my computer works fine, i'm not installing much other stuff. It will rather cause problems than anything else.
So i'm not having problems with SP2 either.

And another post saved from the Reaper! Anyway. I couldn't install my 3 latest games (being Vampire Bloodlines, Tony Hawk's Underground 2 and Rome Total War) and just noticed this post. So while I'm listening to the glorious sound of dying Microsoft evilness, I was wondering if the rest of you had any problems since *looks at date of last post* december 15th. Ooh, got to go, restart time!

I couldn't install Riddick on WinXP with no service packs. I had to install SP1 in order to get it to work.

I'm now on XPSP2 and have no problems with total war or any other games. I don't have Vampire or THU2, however.

Seems there were too many files that SP2 'infected', so was forced to reinstall it (couldn't be arsed to reinstall Windows). Anyway, after the reinstall the installation of RTW worked fine Cursed be Bill Gates and his infernal contraptions.
