Post subject:  HotU: Merchant
I'm stuck in the winged elf village in the underdark in HotU. I need to find a piece of the mirror belonging to the merchant, but I'm afraid he died during a big fight with red sisters and driders, and the only thing I could find near the place he should be was a merchant compass, so I presume that was his corpse.

But I didn't find the piece of mirror there, so now I can't finish that quest, unless that bastard gave his piece of mirror away to someone. In that case, to whom did he give it? The Fool tells me that I still have to get the pieces, so if the merchant gave the piece to Sabel I'm fucked, as I probably need to hear that from the merchant himself before I can go to the Fool.

And my last savegame before that winged elf village crap is just before the final fight of chapter 1, and I don;t want to do all that crap again.

no, the queen gave sabal her piece, and the merchant hid his away. to find it, you need to use the compass. what will happen is that there will be a flashing circle surrounding you, which will flash faster the closer you get to the piece.

as a hint: search behind the library. but you can only find it by using the compass.

i take it you've been to the castle, wizards tower, temple and the library, so you just need to go back to the fool and woop some drow ass. :)

Yes I've had the other ones. I found the compass pretty useless untill now, guess I'll have to try again.
