I'm a dwarven fighter (with greataxe) and i'm lvl 2 now. Was confused with the rank things at first. But since my HP went up, i'm pretty sure i did level now

I'm tearing through things atm, haven't really had a close fight where i almost died or anything. Maybe if i try things at hard, but i don't see the point of playing the same quest again really.
Don't mind playing solo, but i can imagine that with more people it gets more interesting. I also fell off a cliff and died ... lol.

BTW, replaying the quests on harder difficulties will get you more XP, better loot and typically more spawns. Plus it seems kinda inevitable at times if you want to grind out some xp to level. That was my biggest complaint 3 years ago... redoing the same quests over and over and over again. They seem to have added a bunch more, though.

Well I haven't logged on since installing and creating a character, so my dwarf is still roaming the coast in his underwear wielding an axe.

Shiny and I played with Peltz for a few hours on the weekend... good stuff. We were dual-maging it with Shiny backing up as cleric (and Peltz's cleric hireling). Shiny and I have since levelled those characters to 4.

BTW, Ox, I hope your strength is ridiculous. Turns out Shiny's cleric and my mage both have 8 strength, so even with the bull's strength spell we're weak as little kittens. Once I get into the marketplace and have access to the auctioneer, I'll be searching for some +strength items... some belts and gloves of ogre power, I'm thinking. I hope they stack.

I've got crazy CON and STR. Rest is all gash though.

you better level the crap out of your guy dude.... he need to be at least level 3 by next weekend.

BTW, there are 20 levels and each level consists of 5 ranks (minilevels, you get points to pick some augments for your character) Im almost L4.

Peltz caught me online, but since i was expecting company i didn't want to team up to abandon him a few minutes later in the middle of a quest. At that point i was doing the 'main quest', which turned out to be quite long as well.

I've done most things on the starting island, just need to try to find one of the rare encounters and that's it. Already travelled to the next area, not planning to grind the area to get all kills. My games does crash sometime though. Very annoying, it just hangs.

I'm a couple hundreds of xp away from lvl 3. Don't know if i'm choosing good or bad things, but i've got 16 CON (and over 60HP i think) and 20 STR, so it can't be all that bad

Thanks to Satis, the rares are:

1. A named Sashuagin - Spawns at the sashuagin lookout point, the one next to the large tree that has the rest and rez shrines in it.
2. Ice Memphit Zeer or zaar or something - Spawns directly infront of the catacombs, next to the two shrines.
3. Ice spider - if you are heading for misery peak, look down near NPC Alagam (the one that gives the actual quest to misery peak) And you should see a pathway leading down towards the sea, the spider is down there at the far end.

lol, no problem. I played around in that area quite a bit, with 2 characters. Both my characters are level 4... my cleric is approaching level 5 and still no levelling sigil drop.

Basically, you're capped at level 4 until you get a levelling sigil reward. Shiny got one on her main character, but I haven't gotten it on either of mine yet. Suxor. I may end up grinding some of the harbor quests until I get it. :p
