Man, WoW and its legions of addicted zombies are seriously destroying the rest of the MMORPG market. Where is that Bioware Star Wars MMORPG?! Or GW2? I fear they may be the only things giving us a chance of playing a good MMORPG outside the bloody Warcraft universe.

I mean, I liked the Warcraft universe, but with WoW it's grown to such ridiculous proportions in so little time (resulting in a lot of conflicting lore, too) that it's just...meh.

Agreed, as much as I love Wrath, it sucks that Arthas is gonna be a boss... in fact it sucks that I've already met him twice as the Lich King (unattackable) and quite frankly, he doesn't seem that imposing. I should be terrified if I see him!

Meh anyway, Darkfall is finally coming out in December (supposedly, we'll wait and see) but I can't afford it which sucks. That's one I wanted to play from the start.

Arthas was such a whiner in WC3 until he became a death knight and started dealing tremendous amounts of pwn with death coil.

I haven't seen him in-game yet (but I'm meeting a friend today who's a WoW crackhead so I might see him later in the afternoon) but I would agree that the crackin' LICH KING would have to be extremely impressive or scary, not a run-of-the-mill baddie boss.

There are other MMORPG's than WoW?

Man, I sure hope something comes along that can vie for Blizzard's throne. Not because I dislike WoW or Blizzard, but I just think it'd be healthier, market-wise. The best deals for clients always are when there is plenty of competition or at least two equally footed giants. But in the MMORPG, the world is pretty unilateral.

I'm still waiting for Darkfall. The release got pushed back from 22/01/09 to 25/02/09. I've kinda given up hope on it, so that on the glorious day it finally emerges, it will be ten times as sweet (unless it sucks of course )

Garbage

Garbage about release, or the game itself?

Coz it's released. And has the potential to be good. But right now it's shit. It needs at least another year of work on it. And no matter how awesome the game itself could be (bug free, I'd be on it for 3 years easily, probably more, screw WoW) the company have absolutely no sense of customer service. They are, without a doubt, the worst company I have come across in the gaming industry, except for one who actually really were just in it for fraud and ripping people off.
