Yeah well i should ditch my assassin also, since a 6 members party advances rather slow in exp, but i`m just emotionally too attached. I could also ditch my swashbuckler, since she just is an extra melee force. I think that 6 members is sometimes harder than 4, strangely enough.
Anyway, i think it went rather smooth this far in your game since you`re good in melee and have lots of magic. If i get attacked my big groups i just start casting malisons, emotions hopelesness, chaos, horror etc. which usually works pretty well. But later on the magic resistance (and HP) of monsters increases, so you might need that extra hand since you won`t have tons of high lvl mage spells.
I found the mind flayers rather annoying, but i have low intelligence members running around, so one draining hit equals death.
I have the celestial fury now, fight was pretty easy, unexpectedly easy i would even say. Btw what lvl are you at now?

I also find playing with 6 people harder then 4. After the Underdark I always mainly use two tanks, with the rest as backup when it gets tough.

Ooh, make sure you equip it eh. I'm at lvl 10 with the barbarian and around 12 with the bards I think. It depends a bit on the 4-6 ppl thing. It's a question of power<->balance...but bleh, not gonna break my head over that.
J, one tip: use the spell 'spook' a lot...especially against dragons and spellcasters. At a reasonably high catser lvl it's very hard to save against, and messes up scripts.
save at -6 against a 1st lvl spell ain't too shabby

MM might have to buy that spell .. uh i mean steal it of course
Yeah i can imagine it`s very effective, especially with the greater malisons i tend to throw in (that`s a -10 saving throw vs spells mwuhahahaha)

Just had my first strugle with Bodhi, i got lucky since she kinda got stuck, meaning she couldn`t attack my hopeless characters, and i managed to disrupt some of her spells. I bet the second figth will prove to be harder, or i`ll have to be very lucky again.
I took your advice and equiped the Celestial Fury .. you bastard . An extra problem was that 5 Amnish Legionaires with 2 Cowled Enforcers warped in.
So you can imagine the outcome of that fight.
In the end i succeeded by first turning all my party members invisible, take some distance and prepare a bit for battle (stoneskins for instance, since he tended to come after my mages). A word of advice: do not try to put traps for this guy (Kuroisan)since they don`t do damage and you get an acidic backsplash for every trap. Which is pretty lethal if you put 5 traps on the floor. That bitch sure is a though cookie. I mean was

Hehe...that's something else for ya eh? lol@ cowled enforcers...i hope you tried to fight on at first tho, nothing more heroic than taking wave after wave of enemies. With my bard-party I got mugged by a pair of thugs (not so hard to dispatch of course, but low-lvl bards tend to get hit), then had a few cowled bastards gate in, beat them and because of a bug there gated ANOTHER party in. I survived with just my main char left, near death. That was a freaking massacre, whole lot of civilians and beggars got wasted too because of the cowled wizards' area damage spells.
Anyhoo, glad you fought Kuroisan and had fun with him. He's truly an example of superb scripting eh? Of course, he does "cheat" a bit with his acidic backlash katana, but a guy that can take a well-balanced party on his own is pretty pwnage. Now onwards to the improved twisted rune J.

Lol i was thinking about twisted rune, but i went to the next chapter already. I`m allergic to liches, didn`t want to take a lich and some friends on yet. Bodhi`s gonna chase me now, i`m curious since i read that they improved (as in made harder) bodhi`s gauntlet and the asylum.
And yeah that Acidic Backlash, yesterday i was experimenting a bit how it works (since i have it now), it really seems overpowered. I got surprised by Perth the Adept on Brynnlaw (2 horrid wiltings the bastard), but my acidic backlash hurt him, so i think it bought me the time to dispel his invisibility and his protections.
That fight where he got some unexpected backup was over pretty fast, he caught me by surprise when i returned from my stronghold (d'Arnise) and wanted to rest in an inn. He blew my mages into chunks in a few seconds, started ripping apart my other partymembers, he didn`t really need much help from the cowled ones.
Kuroisan ran away on me before i killed him btw, when i started hurting him, he just fled into a house, so i had to chase him there, he ran back out, i was afraid he was going to run around the whole map. But as my mages noticed, his scripting is excellent. And the death fog is pretty annoying as well, aaaargh.
