FYI, I was able to get a TeamSpeak3 server up and running on my machine here. If we need it in the future for stuff (like Men of War or whatever), it's totally usable.

The only negative is that any time I'm actually in a game, nobody can hear me. :? Works fine if I'm tabbed out or in menus, but the moment I'm actually in a game, that's it. I can still hear fine. Pretty lame. I spent some time trying to figure it out with no luck.

For reason of not-wanting-to-be-hacked, the server is not running, but bringing it up is easy. I can provide connection info and server password whenever.

Well, since i cant host any games, perhaps i can make use of that extra pc for the teamspeak server.

Cool to hear, but yeah it would seem like a pretty major hurdle if you couldn't actually use it yourself...as you may have guessed one of the reasons why I gifted you guys the MoW: AS skirmish pack #2 was to play it together some time, and clearly this would be ideal for that. Should we try to run it at Peltz'? Or is the "host can't talk" thing a common phenomenon for people running a TS3 server? :P

As far as I can tell, it's not a common problem. It may be a problem with my machine and the client, not with hosting the server, but I don't know. It wasn't possible for me to test it. We can certainly try it using Peltz's machine. Lag is a bit less of a problem with voice.

heh, yea, or jitter can be really annoying. But whatever. ;)
