What about those games that you cherish, that never really took off? Like postman pat 1 'n' 2, they were awesome ![]() |

back on my 8088 XT, I really dug F19 Stealth Fighter and M1 Tank Platoon. Those games so totally rocked... though with F19 you practically had to have a PhD to fly it (and especially land it). Still, it was a great game... I remember one time I just got a wild hair up my butt and decided to go on a killing spree in Kamchatka. That's basically a Russian peninsula just covered with airbases, submarine pens, and SAM sites. I blew the crap out of everything... used up all my missiles and then was strafing friggin' SAM sites with my runs, blowing up radars and missiles. I actually managed to land (with a really badly mauled plane) and got a medal of honor for it. ![]() |

lol, sounds like a good load of fun, the closest I had was Harrier, and 2 versions of 1942, one of which was an early flight sim, that was awesome, but I lost it... you could shoot down parachuters and bombs and alsorts... |

nah, there weren't any serious RPGs. There were some D&D type games, but I didn't get into RPGs until a couple years ago. I was mainly a sim junky back then. ![]() |

eh? I mean simulations, like tank games and airplane games and submarine games. Oooh! Sid Myer's Pirates! That was an awesome game. Of course, it doesn't really fit in this topic, since most everyone that ever played it agrees that the game totally rocks. Ah well. |

Dude, I knew what you meant, But What I meant is that a sim, is supposed to be as close to real life as you can get, it is supposed to simulate real life. But they only had 8 colours, and about 3 different Charachter possitions to simulate with. Geddit? |

Peltz dunno if you're familiar with it, but there is a program or something that allows you to play old games that run too fast on your computer. i just ran into it while surfing once, dunno the name anymore but can't be that hard to find if you're interested. |
