For some reaosn a lot of games seem attractive to me right now. Must be my mood. I'm kinda swinging toward the casual adventure genre because im finding simplicity really rewarding, but there are 2 things holding me back. a) the vast amount of time they require + money. Because there are so many b) ArmA 2 is out soon Escape Rosecliff Island http://store.steampowered.com/app/3600/ This is a like a game for your grandad. Its really just a puzzle game, but i played the demo and somehow got hooked. Nice atmosphere. Amazing Adventures Around The World http://store.steampowered.com/app/3530/ Same kinda shit like Rosecliff. Penumbra http://store.steampowered.com/app/22120/ Looks simple, yet highly atmospheric. Scary too. Something to fuck up my mind. The Longest Journey http://store.steampowered.com/app/6310/ Looks kinda like Broken Sword, which i fell in love with back in the day. Sherlock Holmes http://store.steampowered.com/app/11040/ Looks like another point-click-absorb adventure. Dracula Origin http://store.steampowered.com/app/11050/ The screenshots look really, really fuckin awesome. Kinda like Sherlock Holmes, but better. |

I can give you advice on a few of those - Penumbra: incredibly atmospheric adventure/puzzle/horror/shooter. Some parts of series are better than others, but overall still very good if you're into that sort of thing (like me). There was a steam sale for the entire series at 5€ a few weeks ago, sorry you missed it. - Longest Journey: one of the best stories ever in gaming, probably. Dreamfall, its successor, is definitely worth playing too. - Dracula Origin: neat game, if you don't pay over 5€ for it. ![]() |
