First info revealed, sounds interesting http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/assas ... 2-detailed Looks like they tried to do away with some of the frustrations of part I:
Always hated it when you'd "die" because you fell into a crappy city canal because you missed a jump. |

Yea, that was really retarded when you were in the city with all the boats. Hopping from boat to boat then, oops...dead. Meanwhile you can fall from a roof with minimal problems. To me the biggest beef was the fact the game was so linear and repetitive. There was the outside world to 'explore', but there was no point. Sounds like they may have addressed those problems with the multple contacts thing. |

Not first info, I spoke to an ubisoft rep about it a few months back ![]() Nah seriously, can't wait for this game, it's rare I buy a console game, even rarer I buy it on day of release, but this is one I will. The first (that I still need to finish ![]() ![]() I think the rep said they're not going to make the game 'bigger' as such, but like GTA IV attempt to make the world a bit more crowded and interesting, with more different things to do, as it says in that article, rather than the same 3 things over and over. I kinda hope they don't change the fighting too much as well, I really like the sword fighting in #1, though once you have the hang of it, it is a little easy. Fun though. And gruesome ![]() |

In the first one I didn't really "get" the fighting until at the end when you're fighting all the nights as part of the quest. That was so hard that I was forced to learn how to really FIGHT. Throw people, then hit em with the knives. ![]() |

Lol screw that, just hold in block and then hit attack when one goes for you, works every time since they're too retarded to attack any way other than in turn ![]() |

heh..I don't even remember any more, been too long. Anyway, I'll probably get the next one. The first wasn't bad... unless the reviews totally trash the next of course. However, this won't be one of those I have to run to the store for on release day. |

Heh, I remember the combat. Like Pev, I basically just timed my left/right clicking right for 20 minutes in a row in the final fights. ![]() ![]() |

http://www.gamespot.com/news/6246318.html Well it seems that AC2 has sold 6million units and is possibly getting some multiplayer reinforcement. |

It's not out for PC yet, is it? When it does come out for PC, I plan on buying it. Have since I played the first one, to be honest. |

March 16 for the US, February 26 in Europe...so still a big wait. Xbox 360 version reviews have been nothing short of raving though, which is a good prospect. http://www.metacritic.com/games/platfor ... sinscreed2 |

Yep I played 360 version as soon as it came out. So much better than the first (and I loved the first, aside from reptitiveness). It really doesn't feel repetitive at all and you get a much better idea as to why you're killing each person this time around, whereas before up until the end you pretty much felt like you were killing them simply because Al Mualim said to. Ubisoft rep was in the other day, it's been selling 100k units per week in the UK since launch apparently and was second at Christmas only to CoD MW2 and by a relatively small margin (forget what it was though). |

Good, sounds like they got rid of the most annoying things in the previous one then... basically repetitiveness and a seemingly pointless storyline. ![]() ![]() |

There still kind of is free roaming but there's no point to it. Basically the 'free roaming' is linear paths that lead you to each town (read is the loading screen) or you can just take a stagecoach which automatically takes you there. I like to do it manually just to ride the horse though ![]() |

Yeah, you can still ride your horse between cities but there's also fast travel. A pretty good, short and amusing overview of the game's features is Yahtzee's "trashtalk" review over at zeropunctuation: http://www.escapistmagazine.com/videos/ ... ns-Creed-2 |
