I'm not sure how much people would agree with this. Ox may be a little irritated with the inclusion of Dead Space. :)

I can only comment on Stalker CS, and I think its very dissappointing. But why isnt FO3 #1? :o

Because Fallout 3 is a good game. Just because you couldn't let go of the old F formula doesn't mean its a bad game. The visuals, the music, the adventuring, the atmosphere, its a solid Fallout title.

EDIT: Personally i think Frontlines: Fuel of War should be nr.1. Never felt so bad in my life for buying a game.

I haven't played Dead Space yet, so I can't really comment. But most reviews are positive so I don't really understand. :) Then again, it wouldn't be the first time a game appears high up in both the "best" and "most disappointing" column of my gaming mag...some games just divide the crowd in two rabid camps of fans and haters. :)

I might still get Stalker: CS in a while. From what I hear it's something of a gem when patched properly and with some 'tuning' mods. And if Satis and Derf play it for so long when it's clearly flawed in many ways, it must have some great strong points too.

Fable 2 should have been on the list.

Spore wins without a doubt. Mario Kart Wii?! Hell no, it's an awesome game, one of the few I still bother with on my Wii. Prince of Persia... not played it yet but have it for Christmas and from what I hear deserves its rank there. Too Human... the demo was just bleh. Age of Conan... definately deserves to be in there.

Haze should be in there too; not played it myself but it was hyped up to hell and back and then didn't move from the shelves. Fable 2 should also definately be included.

I think Spore deserves #1 just because of the hype it failed to live up to. It was pretty freakin' weak. Force Unleashed was really bad too... the story was great, it was just the gameplay that sucked. I mean, what Star Wars game makes lightsabers seem underpowered? Ridiculous.

Clear Sky made me want to cry. There's a great game buried underneath those bugs. But the bugs kill it...completely and totally. I haven't tried applying the most recent patches... maybe it's actually mildly playable by now.

Gonna hijack Satis' thread for another yearly top 10: rockpapershotgun presents The Top 10 Angry Internet Man Angerers of 2008!

Pretty hilarious overview of all PC game controversies of the past year. :)

The worst aspect of the Unreal creators clearly giving the finger to the platform that made them in favour of shiny Xbox dollars wasn’t that we wouldn’t get Gears of War 2 or whatever on PC, but rather that Cliffy B, Mark Rein and co just kept on saying stupid stuff throughout the yeaer. They were like a guy who dumped their smart, pretty girlfriend for someone with bigger boobs, but inexpicably kept on slagging off the ex in company. Clearly, they’re still in love with the first girl, but they won’t admit it to themselves or anyone else. Alright, chaps- go away if you must, but do stop it with the uninformed insults. I wonder what irked PC gamers more - that sense of betrayal by one of their early champions, or embarrassment that the preening, bling-draped, nonsense-spouting Cliffy ‘Don’t call me Cliffy B’ B was once one of us.
