an attempt to cash in on the l4d frenzy? Not sure, actually... I haven't seen any reviews or previews, though I expect the worst.

It's supposed to be a pretty good game, but from what I hear the game still feels very mod-ish (which it originally was) with, for one, horrible menu navigations. I wouldn't invest money in it given L4D's superiority and Valve's known tendency to support their games into the ages (cfr TF2), which is not something I would expect from these guys. :)

Yeah im int he same boat.

I welcome the theme, but Im not getting good vibes from the screenshots and trailer. I dont think it has that bread-and-butter feel that L4D has, which could just end up making this new title just another shooter.

It could be good, some people really like it, but I need a demo before forking out £15 on this.

Well i decided what the hell lets give it a try and whoosh down the toilet my money went. The game is crap, quite literally, and not worth a single €. Avoid.

oh? I read a review on IGN, I think, and it was decent by them. Thanks for letting us know. though... it sounds like a hyped up version of l4d survival....not exactly something to get excited about. sorry for the waste of money.

Well the gameplay is very simplistic. You spawn, you kill, you buy, rinse and repeat 6 times, kill a boss and next map loads. thanks to hellfighter (a person on my friendlist) i got a few hours of decent gaming and i can honestly say that save your money for something else.

This is how the game plays, atleast on easy difficulty.

1. Map loads, everyone is in a limbo. You choose a perk (medic, sniper, commando, pyro, support and mmm forgot what the 6th one was). Now the perk is just there to let others know which weapons you will be using at first but later it will give damage bonuses and discounts. The experience you gain is tied to the weapon you use. You can take the sniper perk but use the shotgun and gain points in the support perk.

2. The match begins, essentially there are 7 waves of monsters after which you run to a trader and buy weapons and more importantly ammo. At easy difficulty you can find weapons on the map also but on normal, there are 1 or 2 ammo boxes only. The difference between easy and normal is like normal and expert in L4D.

3. The game ends when the group dies or finishes off the boss after 7th wave. Once the boss goes down a sign says the group survived and next map loads.

There is no point in playing on normal difficulty at first because the new player lacks the punch to score kills and therefor will have no money to buy weapons and without weapons death is just around the corner. Its a grinding game in a very simplistic form.

heh....yea, I try. Acquiring demos (and unofficial demos if you know what I mean) is too time consuming.
