 Red Alert 3
It's coming soon...haven't seen anyone talk about it yet. Sure, it's not exactly the innovative RTS we've all been waiting for, but the previous two RA games where a ton of fun and always a triumph of RTS gameplay.

Mind controlled grizzlies! Tesla troopers! Kirilov Zeppelins! Prism tanks! Yay!
I'll probably end up playing it.

I'm not really interested. They go too far over the top. Luckily we still got the vanilla Command and Conquer series.

Yea, sorry, not interested. More cookie-cutter rts. I played one of the older Red Alerts and just wasn't all that impressed.

The Russians sure deserve it.
Y'know, we've had all these games coming out about Iraq and the gulf war and all that...why can't we get some games about Georgia or Chechnya?

But the Georgia incident was in one of the Ghost Recons.

oh, was it? I only got on board with that recently...and invading Mexico isn't all that exciting to me. Eastern Europe, the mideast and Asia are where it's at. I wouldn't mind seeing a Ghost Recon set in the Philippines or something.

You jaded bastards. I know the game isn't exactly the most in-depth hardcore RTS around, but RA2 (for example) was just sheer fun. You can't deny good gameplay!
So anyway, this topic will probably die now with nobody caring. Look at what you did! You made the topic cry!

I love the topic! *hugs it better*
I find the RA series was the best. Better gameplay, more interesting units and more interesting Characters, but in a slightly more wacky sense.
However, it can't be denied that Kane is one of the greatest badguys, ever.

Funny coincidence, but to celebrate the 13th anniversary of C&C: Red Alert, you can download the game for free from EA.

You can also get Red Alert 2 for free if you preorder Red Alert 3. So, for you freaks out there, grab a copy.

I just found out that the singleplayer campaign is designed as a co-op thingie...basically, either you get a friend to play together, a random stranger or have the AI take care of the other command.
That's actually really cool. I might play this game sooner than I had originally planned now, just because I can play the campaign together with a friend. It's like having the fun part of an MMORPG (playing together with your friends) without the retards and the grinding. And you can time things better because it's not a changing world.
