It's been announced! :)

http://www.ea.com/official/cc/cc3/us/release.jsp

Back to GDI and NOD, TIberium and FMV videos! Kane! EVA! Flame tanks! Weeeeeeeeeeeeee

I almost get the urge to replay Tiberian Sun and Firestorm just to get back into the storyline...I don't need to replay the original C&C, I did that one 15 times :P including the expansion.

As long as it won't be like Tiberian Sun, i'm buying it. Kane ftw.

Screenshots in my magazine and they look good...nothing online yet but scans tho.

I'm trying not to get too excited about this one... I don't want to be disappointed like with Generals.

I got tired of C&C like over a decade ago. Unless I read some really great reviews, I'll be passing this one by.

lol, it's a only a decade old isn't it?

hehe. I'll get it if it's good. Simple as.

I think the original C&C came out in 1994. Definetely prior to 96.

Probably did, I just have the battle pack, entitled command and conquer, the first decade. I figured it would have been a "yay, ten years of CnC"

Maybe it's just that the last game was released 2 years ago?

I remember playing the original CnC on my sega saturn. good times. great tunes.

looks like it was probably released in 1995. From the westwood website:

Myeah, but Generals wasn't "really" C&C, I mean, it didn't follow the real C&C storyline...that's also why it's "3" after the original and Tiberian Sun, and Generals wasn't. :)

From the preview i read it sounded very promising, we get the FMV back and the graphics looked sweet. :)

Lookin' good if you ask me. Nothing too posh or cartoonish, but decent C&C.

The Mammoth Tank looks a little odd to me.

Bad news!

Quote:
It seems unlikely that Frank Klepacki, game music composer who did all Command & Conquer games except Generals, will do the music for Command & Conquer 3. Klepacki is currently a full-time employee at Petroglyph, and both himself and the EA Community Manager have stated that he is not on the game's development team nor has he been asked to join. EA's community manager has also said that the team is aware of fan's concern, and that EA's audio team has been studying Klepacki's music for the past ten years, and fans will not be disappointed.

Noooooo!

Yeah I knew that... sucks. Also, the actor playing Kane and EA are on bad terms, and there's no good NOD without Kane.
Did you hear the music in the E3 trailer ? It wants to be like Klepacki, but it just isn't, and it's bad. I just hope they'll fix it.

Well I hope they dont do the clips like in original, you know real people and stuff, i dont like that in a game.

I just wondered how old is Dune 2.

Dune II is from '92. I think the movies with real actors was one of the greatest things in the series. It gave you the feeling you were in the story, despite the bad acting.
