Sorry but I had to post this here. If any of you have a ps2, get this game.
I don't have a ps2, but if I wasn't broke, I'd buy one for this game!

We've been demoing it at work (read: playing the game when its quiet ) and this game rules! VERY addictive.

Basically it works like a dance game. It's all rock songs, things like "I love Rock and Roll", or "Killer Queen" or "Infected" (30 songs in total). On screen you have 5 colours and you have to press them whenever the time is right. The best bit is the controller

It's a replica Gibson. You have the five coloured buttons at the top where you would choose the notes on a 'normal' guitar, and a flick-switch where you would normally strum the strings. You have to flick this as well as push the correct colour button. It does feel a lot like you're playing a real guitar (not that I've ever played one). Also you get long chords, which you can wobble a bar for to get the usual rock-star show-off noises This gets you good points.

Over here its £50 for the guitar + game and it comes in a huge box! Sounds expensive, but seriously, this is an awesome game! Scarily, our deputy manager was the best on it (though in 'Infected' I got an 89 note streak and 96% total )

I never really got into those Jappo Karaoke style games. They were playing the singing one, one day at work, and stopped to get me to play. I kinda told em to stick to their thing until they get an emulated PC version. By the time they figured out what 'emulation' meant, they had forgotten why they'd paused playing it.

I've seen that thing at Fry's. The only think more lame than someone hopping around on a mat like a moron to dance dance revolution is someone pretending to play a guitar. I play the guitar. I guarantee it's nothing like the real thing.

The only a game like this would have my respect is if it WAS a real guitar... with strings that you had to tune and everything, and you really did play the songs. Shy of that, well, I think you'd have more fun buying a cheap boxed guitar.

Pev, is that 'Infected' as in Bad Religion Infected? If so, that's cool. BR ftw...well, back in the days anyway.

lol yes it is ox. They have a lot of 'old' rock on there, not the new pretend rock thats actually just slightly faster pop

Hehe, that's pretty sweet...and I take it you prefer to stuff like Girls Aloud. One of the singers is pretty damn hot, however. Beats me how she's called.

Holy shit this game is fun. And I've gotten pretty far through the easy mode, Know One Knows (QOTSA) is FUCKING IMPOSIBLE! BASTARDS! I got 79% which is respectable seing as that song is so hard to hit notes on.

It switches from on-beat to off-beat notes a lot, it would seem, so I'm constantly slightly off. I'll master it though.

And @ Satis - It may be sad to be on a dance mat, but many many would call all games sad. So what difference does it really make? I mean, This shit enables the guitarskillless people to ROCK! It's gotta be good! I demand you try it!
