 Pariah
So, picked up a copy of this today, alongside farcry, settlers 5 and Vampire the masquerade bloodlines.
Thus far the game is very enjoyable. I started the game in the normal difficulty setting, but I'm wishing that I'd put it up a notch so far. The graphics are nice, though there's an odd blur affect that looks like a bad attempt at AA. Either that, or I haven't got AA switch on... but I didn't spot it in the graphics settings. I'll certainly look later. Gotten a good few levels in to the game, got a few weapon upgrades. I think so far, my favourite weapon is the machine gun, at least, now that I've upgraded it so that it fire faster and has less kick.
As for enemy AI, well, they hide, I'll give them that. But they don't move to much, don't seem to be trying to flank/corner/trick me. My best description of the AI would be to imagine the bots from Quake 3 Arena, but not on so much steroids. They tend to stay still for a while, sometimes untill you go back around the corner again.
I managed to nab one screeny of the usuall ragdoll physics gone wrong.
Some nasty moments, such as opening a door and being greeted by a dude with a flame thrower, but his his tank and he's history, after some much amusing running about screaming. Another being chased down by vehicle whilst being on foot, but my upgraded nade launcher sorted that. I'd recomend getting it, definatly, but try it second hand/cheap range or the likes.

Not that anyone is paying any attention, but I thought you might like to know that I finished Pariah. I'ma try multiplayer later on, but I have to download a patch first. The single player mode was to short. Just when it was getting to the heated fights and the real fun, the game finished.

yea, that sounds like a game I'll be skipping. Thanks for the heads up, Mole.
How about you write a review?

Here or somewhere else? Like I said in my original post, get the game cheap. Definatly don't pay full price for it. But I've yet to test the multiplayer, which looks promising.

hehe...the high school student support organization (run by the state) over here is also called the PMS. It's kinda amusing, even though we didn't know what PMS was back then. We did know that the organization sucked...always came to get nerds out of the class to have 'talks' about how they were getting pounded by erh, certain people.
Those bastards also 'advised' me to do a professional course. Like, metal, woodwork, welding. I'm not kidding! I decided to do Latin instead, and easily so. I showed those suckers and their orientation tests + IQ tests.

I remember playing the demo of this game, man was that one big pile of crap, literally.
The list of bugs was like twice around the Earth and to the moon and back.
