tried aoe a couple weeks ago. it's...um... aoe. stupidly easy, virtually the same graphics... fun for if you're bored but not a game i'd ever buy.

I played Art of War. If you like that kind of game (I really dont) you might dig it, since it uses modern weapons and can be set in cities. Setting a city block on fire can be kinda cool.

Thanks for that BJ...with this 1337 CPU I should be flying on that thing W00t!

Played the RTW: BI demo, and dang. I had forgotten how cool RTW was.

The graphics have clearly improved, the new units look cool and the night+fire arrows rocks.

However, the AI doesn't seem 100% yet as I won the first battle by retreating 20 meters and waiting around for an enemy that wouldn't attack so they lost the battle. You'll see what I mean when you get there...hope they're more active for you.

Second battle was more vivid and even pretty close....Huns vs. Romans+Goths. I pwned their asses...Huns are cool to play with, ultra-mobile with their horses and theuir 1337 horse archers. Here's a little pic.

Played the first battle. The AI was pretty downright dumb (as usual). Ah well, ill just continue with my current campaign for now. Might buy it one day jst to play as the Romans and restore the glory!

Yeha, the AI failed me in the first battle too. Arthur and his cronies wouldn't cross the river and meet my pikemen. So nothing much happened other than me slaughtering his buddy Amelric. What a wussy!


Starship Troopers demo

It's not amazing, but good graphics and atmosphere from the movie. It's with in-game videos from the orginal movie and everything.

I take back a bit of my 'negative' opinion about Starship Troopers demo...once you get past a certain part it ownz u. But you can't save in the demo so that kinda frustrated me for a while.

But after that came the real mass swarm, with flying bugs and a tanker to top it off, great stuff. here are some screens. Most impressive of all: with tons of bugs in sight (just take a peek at the screen) the engine kept running smoothly.

Played the Total Overdose demo today, and well, don't bother with it. It's not AWFUL, but it's just so plain. It's a lot of shooting with cool moves and even rewinds, but even after 20 minutes of demo playing I could see how I would get bored with it quickly.


On another note, I'm definitely gonna get Fahrenheit (the full game), just don't know when or how yet.

i can't see your sexy pics. this forum is gay for me; sometimes I see pics just fine, other times (like now) I just see some random text that seems to be talking about nothing at all... until I realise people are seeing pictures that I'm not.
