Post The Bards Tale
Well, I just started playing this a short while ago - Though I've had it for some time now.

First impressions are that it has a lot of potential, and I'm enjoying it all but for a few little niggles - The camera is fixed above you. you can rotate it around, but whats the point in that, if the angle of the cam is fixed?

And the combat seems a little awkward too, but as I play it's getting easier. I can summon me up a wench with a cross bow right now :D

AFAIK it's on the PC too, might be worth aquiring. I'll post back and let you know how it develops.

I think this review sums it up nicely with this paragraph:

Quote:
The Bard’s Tale is definitely in a class of its own, but it primarily suffers at not knowing exactly what type of game it is. The combat system is too clunky to consider it an all-action game, and the RPG elements are too simplistic to be a true RPG. The story is fantastic and listening to all the various lines of dialogue is a definite high point, but at what cost? Most players will find the early going very slow and I’m not sure that even the funny quips will hold your attention long enough to find that things do get better in the latter stages. This is strictly a single-player romp, so keep that in mind beforehand. Those that brave the elements will find an entertaining, albeit somewhat disappointing, action RPG experience.

EDIT: One more problem with the game - Healing sucks. You have to press a series of buttons just to heal, and then you have to sit through a short (2-5 seconds or so) demo. Each time :(

Just think of this way, if they took out that 3second demo, the overall gametime would decrease by 5 to 10 hours :D.
