IS SO AWESOME! Really really blows the old bf1942 out of the water and just about every fps game (except wfa). I suggest everyone try out the demo. Its up for download at almost all major file transfer sites like filefront and fileplant. When this hits release Im defiantly getting this game.

A cool feature they added was squads. You can form a squad and password your squad and only invite your friends into it. Then the squad leader gives orders which display over all other squad members huds. And you can respawn at your squad leader. Medics and also revive dead players.

Mm, I'll be downloading it sometime, but currently busy. Looks awesome though. Btw, tell me it doesn't use Starforce.

Im under the impression that BF2 will be more of a shooter compared to OpFlash2. The latter is certain to be another sim-ish. Its just that i prefer the simnessnesnesslessness of OpFlash.

ok, I bought it. I knew it was only a matter of time, since I was a major fan of battlefield:1942. I must say, it looks like a great game. I haven't had much of a chance to play it online, due to my connection being gay (fiber on Thursday, yay!). Mainly playing single player so I can get used to the kits/weapons/maps/keys.

The graphics are nice and actually tax my system. I was also afraid it would be a rape-fest like BF: Vietnam, but that doesn't appear to be the case. Having not really played on line, I haven't been able to experience the squad/commander portions yet. Still, looking very promising. I'm looking forward to chewing up 11b.

I'm looking forward to the Xbox release but for now I'll settle with the three new games caz bought me Spiderman 2, Call of Duty-finest hour and A Bards Tale

Based on the demo i wouldnt recommend this even if they pay you to play, atleast not until 250th patch is available, there are so many stupid and unreal things in the game, ive played the demo quite long now and have noticed some things lately i missed at the beginning

planes and copters. basically shooting one down from ground is equal to winning a million dollars in lottery. Dont even try flying without joystick.

bullets passing solid objects and accuracy. I usually play a normal soldier but today i was in another server and since the teams were a bit unequal to a point of 13 vs 51 i had to use the anti tank gun, i think i managed to pull of 3 shots and see the rocket go right through and exploding way past the vehicle.

Weapon balance. if yer us, m4 is the weapon to go, shitridiculous accuracy and hitpower equal to ak (yah right). now the aiming mechanism is beyond me, aim or dont the bullets go pretty much everywhere except where you aim. I havent checked for aimbots but i think some are using it, i mean lightmachinegun, running and one shot and im dead yea right.

The classic physics problem, soldiers have difficulties going over obstacles the size of a normal building brick, you think its funny, well its not when yer running for your life from that tank only to find yourself stuck on a rock the size of your fist .

EA really should take their employees to a shooting range to see how the weapons really work. i mean if you fire a lmg from standing i guarantee you hit everything except the target and when prone its insanely accurate, unlike in this game where its vice a versa.

I mean if this is the future warfare, we might as well give up right now

lol, I don't think it's that bad. I've been playing it almost religiously. I don't pilot yet (not good enough...I just get owned), but I can shoot down enemy helicopters regularly. AA missiles make it 'easy', but I can do it with fixed machine guns too. Especially the .50. My next weapon unlock I'm getthing the .50 sniper rifle so I can actually snipe the pilots...but anyway....

Aiming: the trick to aiming is go prone and go into the sight mode (right mouse button) if you can. Otherwise I strafe like hell and spray. But my favorite for close combat is the assault class with the grenade launcher. I pretty much start with the grenade...and it usually ends with the grenade. If I miss or there're multiple targets, if they've seen me I switch to the rifle and start shooting. I've chalked up some major serious kills using this method.

As for realism....yea, it's totally inaccurate. But that's probably a good thing. It would make the action really slow. Everyone would be a sniper or in a vehiclle. So, anyway, I like the game.

Yea i know, the rifle grenade is crazy cool, and 5 of em can take down an enemy apc.

black hawk comes down easy with jeep i agree but the gunships, i mean those got to be the shittiest aa weapons ive seen, atleast in demo they are total shit, shooting down a jet is a miracle if the pilot has any idea how to fly.

weapons. situation was the following. I noticed three enemy snipers in a range of about 50 to 75m from me. i took down 2 because they never knew what hit em, so as i was firing away at the last one with single shots, this guy turns and bang first shot kills, he was standing, i mean a regular sniper weighs in around 5 or 6 kilograms, youd expect atleast some inaccuracy while standing but hell no . bang dead end of story

yea, I'm a bit irritated with the sniping thing too. I know what you mean. For a sniper, it's just as easy to shoot standing and prone, since there's no gun wobble and you're only shooting single shots anyway. There're a few things I wish they'd change about the game.

1st and foremost...bunny hopping. man that is so irritating. Which is why the grenade launcher is cool. For some crazy reason, when someone's jumping it's almost impossible to kill them. Unless you pop a grenade at their feet. Then the sniper thing. And attack helicopters can be extremely frustrating. Bleh.

Jets aren't so bad. Mainly other jets take out jets....the one time I flew a jet in a game I managed to take out another jet (and then got taken out by still another jet). Can't comment on the heli thing. Though manning a minigun on the blackhawk owns.

I've unlocked the G3 for the medic. That's a great rifle, by the way. Much better than the M16 with iron sights. heh. As for the L85a1...I don't think it's an unlock. The unlock for the support machine gunner is the PK, I believe. Maybe it's the regular machinegun for China or something?

damn the game is unplayable, every 25 seconds i get this connection problem and i have nothing running in the backround, no viruses, no spyware, no downloads, nothing and its only this game. for f---- sake why nothing ever works like its supposed to.

sucks for you. No issues on this end. You sure you don't have some sort of mass mailing virus?
