Timeshift


Not really technically stunning, but a cool concept: you can turn back time in-game for 10-15 seconds. So you're less bullet-resistant than in most games (heh), but you can go back in time for a bit which creates all sorts of unique possibilities. There's obvious preparing for an ambush, but also 'resurrecting' a hostage that was just killed, using a crate that fell of a wall to get on top of the wall, freezing time during an explosion, etc. Looking promising.

I noticed the Pariah demo has been released. That might interest you.

Also read a dungeon siege II preview in dutch, but that game might be worth keeping an eye on as well.

The Pariah demo is MP only apparently, but I had some good fun with it already. The team deathmatch is fun with nice graphics and weapon, haven't really tried my hand at CTF mode yet. If you've got time to kill Derf, download it. :) New pc needs to be tested!


Btw, I also downloaded the SC: Chaos Theory demo. The graphics are plain awesome. :o And i'm playing at 800x600 with most stuff at "low" or "medium", I can't even imagine what it looks like with everything maxed.

yep you guys really have to check out guild wars. amazing game that actually puts skill above level. Can't wait for it to be released.

Pariah looks... weird. we've had videos of it running in our shop for a lil while, and sometimes teh grapics look as good as Halo 2... and other times they look downright bitty and crap. But it does look like halo meets unreal.

well what comes to teh demo, only one expression fits it: "Gawd Awful Shity Mess". It has like 1million bugs and the physics engine aint working.

Lol dont bother downloading pariah demo. The physics engine is shot to shit literally, none of the weapons work as they are supposed to and theres like trillion other bugs in the game :D

That demo is a death sentence to the game, pity.

sod WoW/EQ/others with their "we're gonna make you pay £30 up for the game, then another £20 a month just to be killed by 13 year old gankers" *mutters* lol

Just finished the Restricted Area demo

Its pretty cool imo. worth a try anyway.
