14 new screens from Oblivion (ES IV)...

looks amazing. And if they tweak the powerbalances from Morrowind a bit it's SO gonna own. Prolly still a long time off though. :(

yeah its looks like it could be pretty sweet, the wost bit of morrowwind were the graphics by far, so these are so much better

heh...I recommend it, just so you can say you did. It's like never having played the original C&C or something. :)

As for Morrowind's graphics being under par...I very much disagree. They are still awesome to this day, not to mention the quality of the design. :O Ever been to Tel Vos? It's a Telvanni "tree" entwined in a human stone fortress; it's gorgeous.

best pic I could find for the moment. Ah, Morrowind...the stories I could tell. The feeling I had in Bloodmoon spending time in my own mead hall drinking, doing business and resting while outside the snow raged...priceless. I also had a pad at the side ideep in the forest, previously occupied by a character named "Uncle Sweetshare", a mad dope-dealer. I killed him and stole his pad plus his dope.

I'll stop now

Godlike graphics.

I agree on both counts: the new graphics are freakin' ungodly. And the graphics on the original morrowind are pretty damn good too. The biggest problems with morrowind are balance and repetitiveness. Hopefully they address those two issues....though I think I'll be buying this game regardless.

The Morrowing people graphics sucked, the scenery was nice. Never completed it because it didn't run so smooth on my PC, and me and pevil prefered different controls and it saved it overall instead of per save so had to keep changing.

That's about the last thing I heard

@ Mole: dammit ppl; do you all suffer from short-term memory or something...I blame TV. ;) hehe. Everthing about Morrowind, including the characters, was pretty advanced when it came out...sure, it's not up to HL2 facial animation standard of these days but back then it was cool. :)

I meant in relevance to the scenery and back grounds. The same applies for these new screne shots. People nearly always suck compared to backdrops.

you honestly think this character sucks?

i love Tel Vos. Great place.

agree with the fact the people look crap compared to the background, but they often do, just coz its easier i guess, the background doesn't have to have any joints to move so i guess that automatically makes it easier for it to not be 'blocky'. talking about morrowind here, not this new one btw.

but damn, these new screenies look amazing...

I think for the time, the faces were good. Remember though, i was playing Operation Flashpoint at the same time and we all know what those faces look like!

Anyway, i agree with the notion that faces are hard to get to look right compared to background. For the obvious reasons that i shouldnt need to explain.

It looks good, but still it's not as good as the background.
