That 6 cd edition i mentioned seems to be US-material. Europe will only get the DVD version i read. CD-switching sucks anyways.

That's gonna be a hard cookie..I'd like to have HL1: source, and the chance to win a trip to Valve, but no freaking hats and strategy guides. I suppose I'll have to settle for the silver packacge. It's got HL1: source and comparatively the cheapest. I didn't even know that they re-did HL 1 in the source egine, pretty neat (well, if they did a good job anyway). Gives the Satises and 11bravo's among us a chance to take a peek at HL1 without having to be bothered by old graphics.
Of course, i'm waiting for the game to come out in stores, not online. And I think it's kinda ridiculous that they pre-sell CS and afterwards HL2. Aren't mods supposed to come before the original game?

imo, they can stick it all. Games should be $30-35 when they come out, and $50 for the gold-plated marijuana-enabled version. Not $50 for the shit one. They can smoke it.

games are only 35 bucks in the US? Freaking hell. They're 50€ on average here, methinks. How's that for promoting piracy.

No, satis wants them to be 35 dollar. We Euro's are only fucked by using a 1:1 exchange rate between the Euro and the Dollar for the game prices.

most games 'come out' at like $50 supposedly, but all you have to do is shop around a bit and you can find them for $35 for the most part. A few exceptions, of course, but not many.
So...you Euros are fucked all around.

Apparently. No matter, there are ways of playing games cheaply, such as games rental and the library. And I buy the really good ones of course. (BG2 and the likes)
