Hehe, I only had to do so once during the flying school missions. Took me a few tries but nothing major. Not like the planes. Took me ages before I figured out the 'right' way to control them. (you remember that miniature plane in San Fierro? That SUCKED)
Also, in the flying school I spent 20 tries in the 'circle airstrip' thing to try and pull up to the first corona after take-off....the engine would always sputter after I got to some height and I'd miss the mark...I had no idea wtf was going wrong until my brother (a flight technician irl) was watching me play and said 'hey dude, don't you need to retract the landing gear or something?' Well, that did the trick. lol.
Because I am a seasoned pc gamer and a console n00b I excell at shooting/fighting and suck horribly at the driving/flying part. I love nothing better than a good 'sneak into the army compound, whack 2000 men and steal project x' type mission.
Also love bikes. Especially dirt bikes. Those things are awesome....can get everywhere with them. It's when I got into the little redneck towns and especially Las Venturas that I learned to appreciate them most. You can seriously cut off some distance on those things, even tho I now have planes at my disposal. Anyhoo, once you get some bike skill and stay on them better they rock ass. Way cooler than most cars, too big and lumbersome to slalom the traffic with.
I'm seriously wondering what weapons I'm gonna find next btw...right now I got a minigun and a super-duper shotgun, those things are pretty insane as it is. I'm scared of what's to come.
Which city did you guys like best btw? I really dig San Fierro. Only thing I don't like about it is the height differences, other than that San Fierro for teh win! Got me a nice SF tattoo on the back too. I like Las Venturas for its casinos, but other than that a little to shiny for me.
Last remarks: the rain/heat/smog optical effects in-game are great. Compared to the rest of the game's graphics they really stand out.

I haven't played this game in forever. But yea, it's awesome. Glad you're digging it. And yea...it sounds like you've gotten damned far in it already. Oh, btw, I did get the hot coffee mod before it got pulled offline. Let me know if any of you guys want it.

Just wondering, can I install it now and still access the erh, perks, in my existing savegame? Or do I need to start a new game? Because in that case, screw that.

To see them naked, I believe you need a new game.
I completed the game ages ago, and I don't feel like playing it again... that would cost me far too much time. So I don't need the mod.

In that case no thanks...I'm not about to replay the entire thing, that would be a serious bummer. Because you'd lose all the driving/bike skill, vehicles would steer like crap again. No fun.

I have no idea what you have to do. But fine, be that way. Virtual titties not doing it for you, eh?

Not when there are cinematic ones.

You know it.
Anyway, question for you guys: I'm very close to the end, you know when you need to conquer as many hood areas as possible. We all know that this sucks ass. Now, question is: how many do I need? I got around 11-12 areas atm, and I still can't start the final mission.
Don't tell me I need them all. This pointless repetitiveness of conquering hoods is really getting on my nerves. As far as I'm concerned it's seriously putting a downer on the whole coolness of GTA: Sa too.
Console syndrome anyone? Put in retardedly hard missions/controls that are repetitive and you stretch the game time by a good bit. God knows why that's necessary in a game the size of this one.

You need 35% I believe. Just look at your stats to see how far you are.

Thanks, that did the trick. I was at 33% apparently, and took over one more hood to get there. Got shot in the final mission tho, jesus. All those opponents + the fire.

hah...that's the easy part. I get through that area no problem. The hard part is the fire engine. That's where I gave up.

Hmmh funny as this mission proved to be more easier for me than some other missions. Two or three tries did the trick. There was that mini plane mission that was annoying as hell and mmm those truck depot missions, did the last one like gazillion plus one times.

I think I did it like 3 times and got pissed off. The mission is so long that it's rediculous. They should've broken it into parts. Basically, the fireengine part should've been a separate mission, or at least separately accessible once you beat the first part. Bleh. One reason I hate console ports....and actually alot of games. Save anywhere shouldn't be considered a feature, it should be a standard. The checkpoint system of saves is a holdover from crappy consoles. It just makes for aggravation and artificially expanding the length of a game.

Definitely. I think I got lucky on the car-chase part tho, cos I did that in one try.
So I beat the game. Basically what I did was do the firetruck missions before doing the final mission, so I was 100% fireproof.
Then went to the crack fortress and cleaned up the place. The non-fire part is easy, just have to pay attention. Then the way back out was a WHOLE lot easier just running through the flames, even tho it was still hard to spot enemies in the freaking smoke.
Got out, hopped in the car, chased the truck and sweet dodging molotovs, then sweet took over and I shot a whole batallion of police to pieces. Car survived pretty fine with about 30% health left. I think I got lucky on the molotovs part.
So, game over. Think i'm gonna finish the heist quest at Las Venturas now. Also, my Harrier (well, harrier-like) jet suddenly doesn't appear on my airstrip anymore! That SUCKS! At least I still got that learjet in my hangar.
