Shit went well tonight, won with a 0-6 walk-over. :mrgreen:
The only downside is that one of my players came off injured, but I can miss him (although 4 weeks is a little long, good luck it's only two matches now).

I didn't do amazing against the third ranked team in my league, 1-1. :/ But, my direct opponent also drew 1-1, so I'm still 3 points ahead of him with one competitive match left! (other one is against a bot)

Which means that I am champion if a)he doesn't win both of his two remaining games or b)if I don't lose my last game. Which is a nice deal, if you ask me. ;) Too bad his goal difference is better, now I can't afford to end with equal points.

The draw did make me slip back a bit in my chances for direct promotion, however. I might have to play a qualifier. :( Going to sell a defender or two in the next few weeks I think, both 'excellent'...so drop by if you've got cash! ;) Plus, Luciano Panno has been called up to the national squad again. That makes 2 internationals...let's hope Eric Francis (Jamaican) makes it as well :P

woohoo, my form changes this week weren't too hot, but i did get two training levels!! :mrgreen:
Now i have two excellent scorers. (17 and 23) Hopefully my 17 year old will level at the beginning of next season again :mrgreen:
My 23 year old is in excellent form and was already at 3.5 stars last week, he should be my star player on sunday. My 17 year old is only in passable form, but he still kicks some bum :mrgreen:
I'll probably try training defense next :mrgreen:

dammit, excellent scorers...I could need some of those. :) Especially the 17-yr old is great Suga, they train awfully quick when they're young aye? I'm still training defenders and will prolly do so for a long time after this, because I've got all these internationals. (who need to be trained)

My training went so-so...my star player is in excellent form; so that means he'll get a 5.5 star rating or something, woohoo. Some form raises and drops apart from that, but nothing major. I did have three skillraises, wahey. Here's a list of the defenders that (currently) are being trained.

->Siemon Seneor, 22,outstanding +7 weeks training
->Jesus Colomer, 19, excellent +3 weeks
->Reto Stell, 18, excellent
->Roderick Zandvliet, 18, excellent
->Uwe Schlump, 17, excellent +1
->Raducu Ganea, 17, excellent
->Johann Schörghofer, 17, solid
->Luciano Panno, 18, solid +4
->Qasim Qasim, 18, passable +4
->Marjan Dimovski, 17, inadequate (not sure high or low, recent signing)
->Eric Francis, 17, inadequate +4

I'll probably sell Stell and Zandvliet, when the transfer market booms. :)Which will be pretty soon, so I wond't be training them anymore.

Bad weekend for me... I pulled a poor player and I finally lost my undefeated status I had since the beginning of the season. Now I'm #2 in the league with a very small chance of becoming #1 again. I'll still promote off course, but I'll get less bonus at the end of the season.
But the worst thing is the undefeated status, I so wanted to be undefeated for the entire season! :(

I've kinda been in your position, als won 10 games or more in a row once and in the last match of the season I lost first place (on goal difference :( ), so i promoted but lost the championship (and the cash, and te nice medal I would get as a supporter lol). :/

Don't worry though, if you improve a few things you'll be back to your undefeated ways in no time next season, there's not much difference between divisions 6-8, really. (well, a top division 6 team would prolly whoop you, but you know, the average teams aren't much better)

After the draw I am 12 games undefeated, instead of 11 wins in a row; but it works for me. ;) Now There's only sunday and an optional qualifier to come..trying to score some young defs with solid pass/defending, but they don't come cheap; not even at the end of the season. And holding 2 players standby to sell when the transfer frenzy begins in a week. :twisted:

Nothing much to report other than that...I'm gonna challenge you to a friendly tomorrow Arathorn, so try to not accept any Dutch offers. if you already did so, i'll try Suga instead.

I haven't arranged any friendlies yet. Maybe the worst part of the loss was that 10 supporters left the club. Bitches, you loose one game in the season and immedeately they pass.:?

lol, yeah, I drew one game (undeserved, too) after an 10-game or something winning streak, and suddenly I only get 2 extra supporters a week instead of 9. And I was still nr. 1, too.

In your case it's mostly the dropping to 2nd place that caused it. If you're doing very well and you slide down the rankings your supporters go cuckoo. :roll:

But k, i'll challenge you tomorrow then.

Muahaha, I pulled a solid 18 yr old keeper :mrgreen:
Delmer Mackay (41905798)
18 years, passable form, healthy
A controversial person who is calm and honest.
Has disastrous experience and weak leadership abilities.

Nationality: Oceania
Total Skill Index (TSI): 3 950
Wage: 4 682 AU$/week
Owner: Rinett
Warnings: 0

Stamina: wretched Goaltending: solid
Playmaking: disastrous Passing: disastrous
Winger: wretched Defending: disastrous
Scoring: disastrous Set Pieces: wretched

He's got a better TSI than my current solid keeper, so i'll sell my passable at the start of next season.
What sort of price should i get for a passable 21 yr old keeper?

OMFG, I got (kinda) screwed over goal difference AGAIN at the end of a season...I missed the direct promotion/qualifier mark on goals made :(

I had 37 points and a goal difference of 37, BUT I didn't make enough goals...so if I had scored one little goal extra today I would have promoted immedeatly, now I gotta play a relatively tricky qualifier.

This is my oponent; 105366

Not impossible, but still a good allround team. :/

On the bright side!: I am champion, yay!! A nice medal on my prize rack and a good amount of cash ;) And an extra cashflow with that qualifier!

How can you be #1 in your league and still have to qualify?

It depends on what level you play on. As you know, in divisions 7 and 8 the numbers 1 and 2 promote automatically, but on higher lvl's it's different.

Only the champion can promote: of all the champions half of them promote directly, the other half has to play a qualifier. If you go to my league screen, click on the "promotion" thing on the right. You'll see which teams are above and which under the mark. :) I missed it by a freaking hair's length. :/

I see, sounds like my last season. although you still have a change for promotion.

I won easily tonight, my opponent was already demoted and decided to experiment with "an interesting incomprehensible 4-1-5 combination"
I won with 9-0, wich is a new club record if I'm correct.

So I ended #2 in the league, here's the match report:

Quote:
RizeTerrorSpor - FC De Bottenbrekers 0 - 9

View game: HT Live
Date: 26-09-2004 at 20:30
MatchID: 22047571
Arena: RizeSpor stadion
Crowd: 2053

2053 spectators had come to RizeSpor stadion this cloudy day. RizeTerrorSpor tactics involved an interesting incomprehensible 4-1-5 combination. Lineup: Beemster - Loman, Zenden, Gartz, van der Weide - Malipiero - van de Hooren, Zuidam, van 't Riet, Kool, Abed-Sulayman.

Bottenbrekers had chosen a strategic 3-4-3 formation. The following players had been chosen: Leeuwaarden - Prak, Oort, Kodde - Zalesak, Rengelink, Aalberts, Wijnholds - Dirks, de Leeuw, BaşÃ¶z.

Bottenbrekers's Sijmen Rengelink scored 0 - 1 by shooting accurately and hard from a long distance, leaving the opponent goalie no other option than to pick up the ball from the net. The referee signalled a penalty in the 5:th minute following an offence just inside of the box. Marien Dirks knocked home 0 - 2 just out of reach for the goaltender. By now Bottenbrekers were drawing the troops back in order to defend their lead. After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, Bottenbrekers´s Soysal BaşÃ¶z got himself booked. RizeTerrorSpor seemed to suffer a certain amount of confusion and were down to the inadequate level of organisation. In the 24:th minute Bottenbrekers put themselves up 0 - 3 after an attack from the right, caused by a defensive blunder. Scorer was Jos Oort. In the game's 29:th minute RizeTerrorSpor´s Jogchum van de Hooren limped slightly after a late challenge, but he was able to continue. RizeTerrorSpor seemed to suffer a certain amount of confusion and were down to the weak level of organisation. In the 31st minute Bottenbrekers put themselves up 0 - 4 after an attack from the right, caused by a defensive blunder. Scorer was Marien Dirks. Marien Dirks increased the visitors lead by putting a volley shot away on a pass from the right. 0 - 5. This third goal made a hat trick for Marien Dirks. Halftime score was 0 - 5. Bottenbrekers held the ball, with a clear 91 percent possession rate.

The RizeTerrorSpor players spent the half-time break getting a rerun of the teams tactical organization and regained a passable organisation. In the 59:th minute Bottenbrekers put themselves up 0 - 6 after an attack from the right, caused by a defensive blunder. Scorer was Vince de Leeuw. Bottenbrekers´s Vince de Leeuw received a play slashing through the home side´s defense in the 70:th minute, chipping it past the keeper scoring 0 - 7. The home crowd was not pleased with that one. The visitors Marien Dirks took advantage of an error due to a misunderstanding between the home side´s goalie and central backs in the 72nd minute. 0 - 8 for Bottenbrekers. After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, Bottenbrekers´s Vince de Leeuw got himself booked. Bottenbrekers´s Hilbert Kodde received a play slashing through the home side´s defense in the 75:th minute, chipping it past the keeper scoring 0 - 9. The home crowd was not pleased with that one. Bottenbrekers held the ball, with a clear 94 percent possession rate.

The most dominating RizeTerrorSpor player was without a doubt Kick Kool. However, Han van der Weide made a disastrous appearance. Bottenbrekers´s best player was Soysal BaşÃ¶z. Hildio Wijnholds was a disappointment, however. The match ends 0 - 9.
