Well the demo is quite short. You do get an idea how the combat system works though.
Hand-to-hand combat is fast-paced brutal combo building mayhem. Fun, but it could get repetitive i fear. (a bit god-of-war-like action if you want something to compare)
Then there is the sneaky part, where you use your grapple hook to get behind enemies unseen. It's pretty cool that you can hang upside down while your enemy is walking below, unaware of your presence.
When bats starts sneaking, i was happy to see he didn't crawl forward unable to catch up with a walking target (like in hitman).
Demo was way too easy to complete though. I think you can have it finished under 5 minutes if you skip dialogue. Easily.
One (other) major annoyance: opening a grate for instance is done with spacebar. BUT when you grab it the game asks you to start mashing (okay i'm exaggerating) your spacebar. Ox will probably love this console way of doing things.
Let's hope my first impression of 'walk-in-the-park-kiddy-console-game' is wrong though. Don't get me wrong: it was fun to play though.
Might add some more comments later, or if you have questions: shoot.
Oh yeah: you can find objects in the game (like behind a grate etc.). Dunno why they needed to add that, collecting stuff doesn't really go with the game imho. I mean, you're Batman, you're surrounded by lunatics and psychos. Why would you want to search for 'Riddlers secrets' or something. Meh.
