That was creative. The guy reminds me of the Beastie Boys video Sabotage

Sabotage is youth sentiment. :)

Peltz, you ordered Borderlands off steam already? Wtf man? You blew our 4-pack idea!! :P Just kidding. Your call of course.

But with DA, L4D2 and Borderlands you're pretty big on pre-orders lately!

I cant help myself! :D I need to buy more time in one day, 36h day sounds about right, 8h for sleep, and 8h for each game.

Borderlands: Satis was going to hold out on that anyway. DA and LD2 wont launch until November so i can pack some sleepless nights into Borderlands. Fear not my friends, i shall survive this onslaught of new games. :D

I was looking through the release calendar... there's a lot of stuff coming out. I'm actually tempted by Tropico 3, believe it or not. I played the demo and it was fun. I could see spending some time building a tourist trap while secretly executing people on the other side of the island.

Really? I mean, sure, there are a bunch of games coming out that I expect a lot of (Dragon Age, L4D2, Borderlands) but most seem to have been pushed into 2010....I can think of Assassin's Creed 2 which is supposed to be a Christmas release, but other than that?

But maybe I should just check the release dates instead of being a whiny whore. :)

I was thinking Tropico, Call of Duty, Borderlands... err... there were others. It's like 1 a week for a month or more.

Tropico 3 has been released, with some nice reviews (if nothing spectacular)

http://www.metacritic.com/games/platforms/pc/tropico3

Looks fun, good budget pickup for me.

Peltz, does Borderlands have the UK or US release date on your steam? Ie 23 or 26 October? Since IGN doesn't seem to feel the need to have a 'European' column, just US, UK, Asia and Australia. Supremely retarded, if you know that the European games market for PC games is much bigger than that of the UK (indeed all of them except the US perhaps). :?

Gametrailers video review. It seems to me that it plays and feels kinda like an MMO but the world is more complex. And the reviewer points out that the game is built with MP in mind.

EDIT: Oh and ill be playing as Roland at start, medic build.

I've read absolutely nothing about the playable... classes? Or whatever. We'll see... if reviews continue to be favorable I may pick this up soon. Hopefully I can get Shiny interested. I'm sure Ox would be up. Anyone want to be the fourth for a four-pack?

I'm down. Maybe Derf?

I'll be playing as Brick, much to anyone's surprise.

Derf doesn't seem to be much into our Borderlands deal. :P

More reviews in (PC)

http://www.metacritic.com/games/platfor ... orderlands

Xbox reviews average around 85% too. Sounds like a game that only really gets fun in MP co-op, as the story is non-existent, the gameplay sometimes rather simplistic (the enemies' AI mainly) and the game mechanics so that singleplayer play can be rather frustrating (the 'second wind' system).

But as a co-op bombs-away co-op shooter with some minor RPG stat tweaking and all kinds of crazy guns (shotgun that shoots rockets! a gun that grows bullets and doesn't need to reload, ever!) and shit it looks pretty darn awesome.

Kinda like very fast paced Diablo 2 with loads of weird guns. Anyway as far as i know the amount of the same character is not limited in CoOp, there can be a team of 4 Rolands or more than one character in any combination.

Well knowning Derfs attention span of a sparrow, its good that the game is light on story. I doubt we'll ever finish that NWN2 MP game together.

So Ox when you go into mad melee frenzy, ill be there to blast you with a shotgun, that does healing damage :D
