Nice, i managed a draw 2-2, not bad considering i still have quite a lot of my players out. I'm still stuck on solid youth squad, can't wait till that goes up to excellent! My Hattrick isn't working again it's really starting to piss me off!
I'm sitting on 5th, and i have a feeling i'll be staying there for awhile. When my injured midfielder goes up to the next playmaking lvl i'll change to defence maybe. I have some good young and up and coming defenders, but i'm not sure what formation to train on... :\
First priority is to upgrade my arena when i get the cash up a little more. I have almost 700 supporters now, and i'm filling it out every match! Time for an upgrade

I'm still on 1 yes, but I have one more away match and the last one is against the number two, and I only have one point more then the number two and three.

hehe...hope you have a good calendar for the rest of the season Arathorn. But 1 point in front of nr. 3 isn't very reassuring no, you're right.
I'd expand that stadium anytime I can Suga...i have 720 supporters and i get 15.000+ crowd on a sunny day, which is a LOT of ticket income. If it weren't for my stadium expansion early in the game i'd be broke long ago. And Arathorn, you should think of buying a new coach, "weak" doesn't cut it, trust me.

Yeah, maybe I should do that... any specific things I should look at when buying one?
The rest om my calendar sucks, next match is agaist some fool but away, so same conditions as this week and the last is at home against the number two or three.

heh..your new coach should have a good "coach" rating, passable or solid. His coaching ability will determine how fast your players gain in skills they train in. Next is his leadership, which will influence your Team Spirit a lot. A coach with great leadership will slowly raise the team's TS, while a bad one will have it drop slowly. Also, a coach with good leadership will have more benefit of a PIC and less withdrawal from a MOTS. Another factor is XP, but that counts for everyone.
If you want a good "cheap" alround coach go for a passable coach/passble leadership (or inadequate leadership). If you want to train your players fast and don't care too much about TS then go for a solid coach/poor leadership (like me).
P.S. a defensive minded coach will strengthen your defense slightly in a match, and an offensive your offense (duh). one with no preference for defense/offense will give a lesser bonus to everyone on the team.

I finally won again, with 1-4! Although this was a low level team I'm still glad with winning, given the latest results for my team.
I'm still not sure of promotion though, my last match is against the number two, and although it's at home and a draw is enough, I'm not very confident about the result...
So how did your games go?

lost 1-0, but it's ok. I was playing a PIC anyway, in order to grab some 3 more points on the last (home) match of this season. Had a "world class" left defense btw, which is bizarre. Gonna try to buy a luxembourgian/paraguayan defender tonight and train them into the u21

Nooo!!!
I lost 3-7 tonight, although most players played quite well (I had made this MOTS though). I had expected this against the number two, so the shock wasn't that big.
But this means no promotion for me, so no end to my financial troubles.
The only good thing was getting 10000 euro for having the league's top-scorer.
Any promotions or wuddoyacallits, demotions? for you guys?

No promotion?? :o Dang, i feel for you man Don't the second in rank get to promote as well in the lower leagues?
I drew 0-0 against the last , but i couldn't win or lose a place anymore anyway so it didn't matter. Was a training match, I don't promote or relegate. My central defense was "supernatural" tho; whihc is only onbe level under "titanic".
I bought that paraguayan dude, he's already getting two stars in passble form as an inadequate defender, so with a bit of luck he's close to the u21 tema next season. (and close to tons of free XP )
a tip for you guys: when the new leagues are started next season, try to pick up a 17/18-yr old with relatively ok skills and train them into the u21 team, which should be pretty crap anyways.

I was only one point ahead of the number two and three, making me third in the league after today's loss (my other opponent acted as expected and won with a wide margin). And off course only the first two got promoted.
This is espescialy awfull as I've been top of the league for almost the whole season, and it's bad to end it this way, it wouldn't have been as bad if I would have come from the bottom to the top and only just didn't make it.
And I don't have money to buy any decent 17/18 year olds, and I have drawn only worthless players lately, although my youth squad is passable.

Mmm, that's major ripoff about missing out on promotion then. I missed out on the title last season in exactly the same way, but at least i still had promotion left.
My inadequate paragauyan defender cost "just" 20k iirc, so you don't need too much money, if you think long-term with those small countries. Some have really weak u21 (and even senior) squads, i could prolly beat them with my team.
In any case, with a bit of luck you'll be pulling good young players from that youth team anyways, if it's already at passable. Ask Suga and then you'll be able to sell them for big bucks. In a week it's transfer frenzy and ppl will offer a LOT more than during the season for the same players...

sold my 3rd keeper for 80k the other day I'm starting to get a profit most weeks, so i'm looking to update my stadium soon. I have to play a qualifying match so i don't go down... but the other team is pretty shitty so it should be all good!
Youth Squad still at solid though, can't wait for excellent! My Hattrick isn't working again, stupid registration runs out all the time

Do you need a crack? Cos i got it around here somewhere (for the old HAM, that is) And good luck with your qualifier!!
We should all play some friendlies at the start of next season, the person I usually play against will be in the cup for a relatively long time prolly.
