Just started my umpteenth game. On VH/VH with Germania. Damn this game rules. Dámn ít rúles!

Had my most difficult fight just a few minutes ago. Anyway the situation was this, i left a city totally unguarded to kill of some rebel, the city revolted and magically conjured up an army bigger than mine so i set up the blockade and assaulted it the next turn.

Boy was that a miserable and frustrating fight. All my units except two groups of velites were either dead or running, velites were out of javelins too so i went in for close combat. It was amazing, how they just stood there and cut down the enemy army till they routed, ofcourse i took the option to end battle, coz no way i was gonne try and hunt them down with 20 units of velites left

Lolol....die-hard velites. Those guys are usually the first to run, like when the enemy is 500 meters off. Nice job Peltz.

I haven't played with or against that area of the world at all (Egypt), so I figure that'll be a great way to experience a different portion of the game entirely. I've spent my two games so far killing Gauls, Britons, Macedonians, Greeks, and Dacians. Of course Italians. I think that's it. No Egyptians or anything else really cool from that area.

I continue to dominate, of course. Y'know, if the AI were smarter and didn't allow me to have 10:1 kill ratios in battles, I'd have been beaten to death by sheer numbers by now. I swear I've killed off the entire population of the ancient world.

And lol on the velites. Hey, whatever works. I've had dog handlers go hand to hand and assisted in routing heavy enemy infacnty, so anything is possible.

Nod i only secured one carthagian city on the souther edge of the map, a foothold so to speak. Anyway the city revolted, and allies immedietly sieged it. So i went there, draged them into the fight BUT i used my two ballistas to take down the gate (brick wall) it took a while, but in that time allies pushed through with their battering ram and started fighting the enemy. So i was sitting there watching my ballistas scratch the gate, when suddenly i see this animation, lol allied general was slaughtered in the battle then i pushed through killed all the remaining dudes and suffered what 25 casualteis while allied casulties were at 300-400 and enemy had 500 casualties.

Oh and since i was the one assaulting the city, the city was mine and allies were left with a corpse pile

The revolting cities are pissing me off. Cant move in for the final kill of Gauls. They have one city left and i cant move my armies, partly due to being ultra poor.

The dog handlers are supposed to be actually quite tough guys.

I'd rather have you fight against the Egytians Satis...they're usually the only real opposition around there. Bleh.

K, need opinions...what faction am I gonna play?

Gauls, coz they are arrogant bastards

Might be quite a chellenge holding all of your land at the beginning for the gauls.

Playing as eqyptians may be too easy because they rake in a shit load of cash. Then again, it may be fun to use their good units to slaughter the entire world all over again.

The Brotons will be practically the same as the Germans, so you may get bored.

The parthians apparently have lots of fun at the begginning because they have lots of rebel lands to take.

So my suggestion is either Gauls or Parthians. (flip a coin).

I vote Britons..they get the cool chariots, which were my only real competition at the beginning of my game as Germania. I've rarely faught the parthians, and never fought the egyptians. Still, since I'm playing Egypt next, you shouldn't play them too. :p

Tails! Britannia it is...this is gonna be interesting. The capital will need swift relocation at once when I start expanding inland, is one of the first things that comes to mind. Bleh, I'll report later!

I add my vote to Britons, just because I'm whooping their ass so very badly with my Germanic hordes in my Very Hard/Very Hard campaign I wanna see how you handle them. (oh, and play on Hard/Hard at least Rinox )
