 Re: Empire: Total War Haha, yeah, never autoresolve battles in Empire. It's a pain.  Good luck vs the Danes...they were pretty weak in my games, but look out for the Polish.  Also...the AI makes naval invasions now! omgwtfbbq

Re: Empire: Total War Luckily the Poles? are in a war with Prussia so hopefully i manage to whack those silly Danes before Prussia bites the dust, Prussia already lost a city to the polish, a city really close to my border so they might shift their attention to my borders now. No hope for peace either because i really can't afford to buy them off and there's not enough pressure on them.

Anyway, i finally managed to crush the Danes, rebuild my army (because i cant afford more than one, heh) and then the Hannover turned on me. I really hope i can put them down before they mess up my relations with England because i cant afford them pirating my trade lanes. The final skirmish with the danes had me pulling my hair out because the AI cheated, with every port blocked, last town under siege he bought ridiculous amount of troops. Theres just no way he could have afforded to buy them nor upkeep them with no income.

Re: Empire: Total War Heh, Hannover, a city with an income of 1200 maintains an army that costs 2500+ a turn to upkeep, has no ports and buys new units each turn. Furthermore each time i crush a large AI army, he just takes a random empire and forces it to declare war on me, disregarding the fact that they are already at war with six other nations and our relations have always been good. It just makes no sense.

Re: Empire: Total War Dude, seriously. Drop this POS game. It's an absolute disgrace to the TW series and alot of TW fans agree with that. AI? There is no AI. It's just a bunch of VB scripts running in excel.

I just couldn't cope with the ridiculous ai, who wields armies that he cant afford, restocks and buys troops into a city that is under siege where as i am not allowed this and every army i crushed caused a random nation to declare war on me. Furthermore, the more experience my men received the shittier they fought, restocking 10 men takes 2 turns where as buying 3x120 takes 1 turn. I am sorry but such nonsense is a bit much for me.
