Hehehe...Mole is a real man! All he can manage in the Sims is eat, sleep, the occasional game and sex. All the rest is too much to care about. ;)

Pev, that challenge looks fun but it's some sort of forum thing right?

Nah I don't bother with the forum. I don't even bother with the points thing, just makes it a bit more challenging and fun to know I'm not allowed to start out with a fully functioning house, or marry into a rich family etc etc. I'm actually trying to train myself not to micromanage so much by putting it on, setting them on a career path and then leaving it running while I do something else (housework, cook, play 360, read, whatever) and then come back to find out what has happened. Hmm... might start that now actually

Did someone say sims?

I have been playing Sims since it came out in 2000. I love the game. I have them all and even though I'll probably never play Sims 2 again. I'm enjoying Sims 3 very much.

I'm currently working on decorating this HUGE house I built. I have a few things over on the exchange too. I think I spend most of my time playing building houses and decorating. I even have a sims website =)

I am missing my custom content. Although a friend did send me a torrent file of every object from the sims store.

I enjoy the seamless town, "peaking" in windows, woohoo backstage in the theater, new ways to kill off my sims death by pool. The customizing you can do to decorate and match everything just blows me away.

Graphic Proof of my Obsession

That's it, i'm going to acquire a "trial" version of Sims 3!

I played Sims 1 to death and loved every second. My trick was to max out on the Mechanical skill and work as a self employed garden knome maker. :) I swear that's the best way to make alot of money in Sims 1 :D

Oh by the way, hi SM!

lol, holy crap, you are addicted. And Derf is going Simsy too. You and Ox should move in together and hold hands while your Sims frolic.

Hi Steph. Nice to see you again.

lol. Did I ever post that pic? Hang on.

And aren't paintings more lucrative Derf? I never tried making garden gnomes. And I'm not anywhere near as obsessed with The Sims as Stephiemarie!

LOL Ox that's insane. Do I assume you have either aging off or are playing Epic lifespan?

Oh writing is supposedly the best way to make money in Sims 3, followed by painting, followed by gardening/fishing, then jobs.

Haha, nope, this was vanilla untweaked/uncheated sims. I think I could do even better than that though - I only really 'got down to business' after a while as a young adult when I had to find something to keep my unemployed, filthy rich sim happy. ;)

I will say that he was making babies with other women while his wife was reading in the other room, though. It's all a matter of time management. Believe it or not, seducing woman after woman wasn't easy after a while. There was always ONE of my 'conquests' watching when in town. And a pissed off girlfriend is one that doesn't want to make more kids (without some convincing).

The funniest thing was when Mark III died. Having a (literally) loved one die is one of the worst moodlets in the game, last for 3 days or so. Well, every woman in the entire town was crying on sidewalks for 3 days.

I will say one thing, though: what will this game teach young impressionable women about getting pregnant? I mean, EVERY SINGLE woman in the Sims 3 is a-ok with getting knocked by you, often after one day of knowing you, without any financial guarantees or commitment. Wow? Even after their 4th child from me (all of which I never acknowledged or visited) they were cool with a 5th. Dang! Ghetto policy!

painting eh? might give that a shot. im a fighter pilot at the moment and im in my 2nd house. it's quite a nice big house, but i need about 10-20 k more to finish it.

although, my game's been crashing recently after about 10 mins of play, which makes it unplayable. suckage. being a "trial" copy i cant patch it, but it may be my HDD that's fugged up.

I don't have problems with my game, unpatched, so...I dunno. A fighter pilot who paints in his spare time? Yeah, that sounds kinda like a closeted homosexual. :P

haha.

yeah, i built a new house and no more crashes. anyway, i ended up maxing out on painting, but i think ive exhaused the game now, since theres effectivly no challange. no biggie, i had the majority of my fun with Sims 1 anyhow.

Yeah I had no probs unpatched. Then I put the official patch on and it fucked up my game. I HATE EA. Had to copy my lot with my house/family on and put it into the same spot on a new save game, otherwise people kept going invisible or getting frozen in one spot. Bloody retards, you'd figure with all their money you could hire people to actually freaking code. Then again they can't even make a toggle work in the options to turn Story Progression on or off. How damn hard can that be?

:o Death took pitty on my sim! She drowned in the pool. He basically sad he took joy in her misfortune. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1TfCSWrC7OM I recorded it. I stopped just shy of her passing out from the sight of Death!

Here is the link to the house I made http://girlgonewired.com/sims/2009/07/1 ... -download/
Its HUGE! I worked on it for over a week.
