cool. Feel free to holler at me if you need any help with missions, or a monk for a UW run or something. And sorry to hear about WoW....seems like the big companies are always fucking up their customer service something bad. Sony won't be taking much of my money in the future...I guarantee my experience with them has cost them in the long term.

The bright side of this is that we'll have more reliable ppl for large(r) missions. Also with regard to the supposedly elite co-op challenges in Factions.

I'm looking forward to a newer computer so that i can finally start playing games that appeared after 2000 again.

Untill then i'm not even reading the Oblivion thread because my computer will probably crash by merely looking at the pictures ..

Oh and by the looks of it i'll have to get me some MMO game as well.

May I suggest Guild Wars: Factions? :D Most of us will be buying that anyway. :) And it's friendly on 'older' pc's and slower lines (but you're prolly on Skynet so no probs there ;) ).

lol @ pc crashing on Oblivion pics. What you been up to man, working as a teacher or something? :) Because if you're not working, you need to get your ass on the forums more!!

Heh believe me, i'm on a Pentium III laptop that barely can say it's having some kind of graphics card. It won't be able to play GW. :P

And yeah, been really busy. Working as a teacher indeed, going to evening school (to obtain my teacher's license if you want to call it that).
I'm literally drowning in books/work sometimes.

Can't wait till July, when i will have 2 months to do nothing but playing computer games hopefully :D

Oh and my ass is here regularly, it's just not posting that much.

Hehe, k...are you taking D-cursus or Aggregaat btw? You could do both with your degree, after all.

And don't remind me about summer vacations...I'm trying not to become a teacher, and the only thing that's POTENTIALLY drawing me towards the job is the summer holidays. ;)

Well it's changed now and it isn't called D-cursus anymore but GPB ("Getuigschrift van Pedagogische Opleiding"), that's what i'm following now.

And the vacations sound nice, but in reality i've been more busy with studying and preparing courses than anything else in holidays.
Generally, my whole sunday goes to hell because i got so much work to do, although i'm doing it very slowly :P

Actually i should be preparing stuff for tomorrow right now ..

If there's a game I'm really looking forward to this year it the new King's Quest. I'm quite sure that everybody played at least some of the earlier games (there're eight of them), and since Sierra is no more, a number of fans decided to make their own. It's really a shame the adventure genre is half dead.

I mourn the flight simulator genre more than the adventure genre. All the quest games go so totally played out. Sierra rode them until they broken, then rode them some more. Space Quest, King's Quest, Police Quest, blah blah blah, and half a dozen or more iterations of each. They got really tiring.

Every genre lives as long as new ideas ar used within it. How often do you find something new in an action game? As long as people are able to invent new puzzles the genre is safe. The adveure genre just needs new puzzles, but it's human nature to invent new ones.

Don't you know Flight Simulator is an un-American game? ;)

@ Arathorn: try Psychonauts, seriously. It's the best puzzle-ish game that hit the market in a year or two.

http://www.psychonauts.com/frontlobe.php

Fun puzzles, amazing design, innovative gameplay...it's all there. From the guy behind Grim Fandango and Full Throttle.

P.S. you'll have to order it from amazon though, I don't think you can buy it in stores in Belgium or Holland. You know how it is, publishers don't like to take risks with original titles. :(

Yeah Psychonauts is selling well at the moment. Personally the fact its made by Grim Fandango's makers put me right off, but its fairly popular. Not a huge title though, we only got about 6 on each format.

I never played Grim Fandango, although it's supposed to be one of the best adventure games around. So I might check out Psychonauts.

hrmmm....a few observations on that one...

1. Graphics. The graphics look like crap. It looks like a playstation 1 game.

2. Base buiding! Yay!

3. The english on the site is crap. That doesn't bode well. If they can't be assed to use decent English on their official website...

It seems that they can transmit impulsions that influences human nerves.
Hallucinoids can invoke pain in human body by influencing nerves.
Scientists suppose that Hallucinoids can paralyse muscules of their enemies so that they can't move.
The striked victim is fully aware suffering infernal pain unable to make a single movemt, waiting for it's death.

4. Space exploration? It looks like you're moving through space as well as defending the Earth...if the Earth is even involved. That's nice...adding depth instead of removing it is a nice change.

6. Fully destructible environments! Yay!

7. WTF happened to 5? OMFG!

8. Barbecue sauce is ketchup mixed with molasses! OMGWTFBBQ!
