Stupid question probably, but you sure you've got the 4 cd version and not the 2 DVD one? My ini goes (under Alias)

Code:
HD0:=C:\Program Files\Black Isle\Planescape - Torment\
CD1:=E:\cd1\
CD2:=C:\Games\pst\cd2\
CD3:=C:\Games\pst\cd2\
CD4:=C:\Games\pst\cd2\

Because I only have two different disks and disk 1 is being used to boot up the game anyways (E: being a virtual drive).

Also, maybe it's just that you forgot the dashes at the end of each line? Dunno if that really matters.

mm. Lame. :(

Maybe it's your root folder? That the mod will only work when the game is installed to the 'standard' folder (PF->BI->PST)?

If that doesn't work I suggest we find you the 2 DVD version since that does me fine...you Brits have virtually unlimited broadband right?

Since we're afraid of things that are new and different, let's start with the old. Coming later this summer for Xbox Live Arcade and PC is The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition, an upgraded version of the 1990 classic that sports modern graphics (you can switch back to the classic visuals instantly if you want), a re-mastered score and full voice-over for dialogue. New gameplay features include a hint system that'll supposedly assist players in solving the game's dastardly puzzles. It's being developed internally at LucasArts.

With Telltale at the helm of the remake, this should be good. :)

Telltale isnt doing the remake, LucasArts is (as you can read in your own quote). Telltale does a new story through their usual episodic goodness.

I´ll check out that high res mod for Planescape. I tried that game some years ago, but the visuals really kept me back.

There is no MP, sadly. But it wouldn't work anyway with the story (you'll see). Would have been cool to stomp around the planes with you guys tho. :P

Thanks for the correction Arathorn. My brain must have fizzled there, because I knew LA was doing the remake in-house (simply because when I first heard they were doing it themselves, I went "uh-oh" :lol: But I guess they can't screw up much if they do a faithful update).

Need to read this topic properly it seems. Wanted to play IWD2 again, but never got a start because graphics really turned me off. And i'm not even a graphicswhore like Satis :wink:

If it looks a little more up-to-date, i might give it a shot soon. My holiday is coming up.

This game is soon to be re-release soon, so maybe I will finally be able to play it (and install it and get it to run for that matter)!!!

Quote:
Just picked up from Richard Cobbett’s twitter, it appears that Interplay are re-releasing Planescape Torment. Its release date is listed as the 30th October and the price is a – not-much-change-from-the-nature-of-twenty-quid – 17.99 of your Earth pounds. In fact, it appears to be a whole load of Interplay other material too. It’s a surprise to see a decade-old game released at a mid-range price… but it’s also one that I find hard to argue against. A game that’s still placing high in all-time lists, that’s been unavailable for years, that goes for full-price when it turns up on eBay and hasn’t been superseded in any way. If the gaming equivalent of the Beatle’s price never going down and this means that Dan Gril has no excuse but to finally return Alec’s copy to him. Hand it back, you bast.

I hope they improved the engine a bit, just to support higher resolutions and shit would be fine. I wouldn't want them screwing with the story or gameplay.

I've actually never played it.. I might check it out.

Well im assuming they've made the game compatible with modern OS's. I'm actually quite interested to see the material they added to it. Anyway, regardless of added content, remember there's the resolution mod for this game. E.g. O'Cram is playing BG2 right now on 1280*1024

Yeah, I even helped you set it up. :)

And everyone should buy PST. It's one of the best RPG's of all time, and in the Infinity Engine to boot. ;) Dialogues are masterful. But if you're the sort of player who skips through convos and is desperate for that next level, you'll miss a whole lot in this game.
