It is a good deal, but beware, the port for Saints Row 2 is almost as infamous as the one for GTA 4.

I bought a copy for myself and Shiny. So far it's fun, but there are some issues.

1. The graphics are kinda dated. For $7.50, though, I can't complain too much.
2. No mouse support in the menus! WTF!? For $7.50, I can use the arrow keys and ctrl and shift keys. But jesus... how hard is it to add mouse support?

We just got through the tutorial, then I had to go back to work. We'll see how it turns out (Shiny and I playing coop, obviously).

Well Gordon Freeman won some title at gamespot so to celebrate the win, everything Half Life is 55% cheaper.

I haven't played a ton of it, but there's some pretty real lag and framerate issues, even though the graphics are pretty cruddy overall. I know the Shiny and I were trying to do the coop mission of getting teh dude out of the courthouse and AI kept breaking. I can see why this game has the rating it does.

On the other hand, it was $7.50.

Assassin's Creed is currently on sale for $5. That's a pretty damned good price for that game. If you haven't played it, I'd recommend picking her up at that price.

I already have it, but where is it on sale? Doesn't seem to be on steam. And I heartily recommend it as well. If you steer clear from the repetitive sidemissions and don't play long periods in a row (avoiding tediousness) it's a very enjoyable and stylish game. High production values, too.

maybe it's US only? That doesn't make much sense.

Well i finished Saints Row 2, or well atleast 86% of it according to the ingame completion meter. On a scale of 10 i give it 3 because the game is huge bugfest with some weird animations. I mean imagine a cutscene where your character pulls out a gun but the gun is not in his hand but its flying a few meters infront of him. And thats just the easy stuff, some of the races in the game are not completable because you get stuck in some weird loading limbo while the other competitors just warp past you. The main story though is playable and actually features some memorable moments and is overall quite ok. The graphics are fairly dated and close ups are quite ugly.

It's another lousy port job. Its PS3 and XBox 360 releases easily hit the 80%+ mark, the PC release scores a full 10% lower. But I don't mind it that much in this case since it was a console game to begin with, not a game released on a PC being botched by the console requirements. :P ;)

@ Satis: it's an American thing...in my steam client it's a full 30€ for the director's cut. :o Which is, taking currency ratings into account, about 9 times as expensive as on your end. Hot damn.

haha, sorry. How weird to expose that to only the US. Makes little sense, but whatever.

As for Saints Row 2, yea, it's not that great. Shiny dislikes it... more because of the cops coming to kill us all the time than the graphics or anything. If there were some cheat to turn off the cop meter going up, I think she'd enjoy the game more.

Fuzz is fun, though.

The game defenately has its moments of glory but the bugs just kill it. Pity because its defenately on par with San andreas. If you see some letters missing im not behind my own mahine and the keyboard is not working properly.

Lol okay that explains the post where you often type a . instead of the proper letter :P I read that one first, pretty confusing. If it wasn't you and it was another hour of the day (night/morning) i'd think you were drunk.
