Almost forgot that yeah..thing is, working for the anarchs seems the thing you "have" to do so 99% of the time you'll find you've allied yourself to the anarchs before meeting Strauss. :(

Btw BJ, your sig isn't working properly.

well, I'm in the sewers now. Suckage....ammo is virtually gone. All I have left is some bullets for my machine gun. Absolutely all the rest of my ammo is expended. :/ I'm really hoping I'm near the end. I know of a few exits int o the sewers, where I could probably go to buy more ammo, but I don't look forward to leaving yet. I wanna get this damn long ass quest over with.

If/when I replay this game, I need to specialize more. I have some persuasion, but not as much as I should. In fact, the only thing I rock on is the guns...I think I'm at 8 now. I'm thinking next time I'll just own seductiona nd melee and screw the rest of the options, since there's always a way through the stuff without having to rely on one of the other skills. :)

@ox: yeah, cant remember how to set it up properly, been a while :?

an all round vampire is pretty vital, good not to specialise until later on. early on in the game you can get further with a cople of stars in melee, guns, etc.

although saying that, i always go with melee over guns, a sword harms vampires far more.

well, I'm doing the hunter thing on the coast now. Good fun. Bastards put out some pain. I somehow ended up with 53exp, so now I'm maxed on ranged. I'm pretty glad of that, actually...I'm not sure how I'd take these bastards out without a ranged weapon. Headshots rock. I must be approaching the end soon.

Oh, the Giovanni thing was cool. I kicked massive ass in there with that automatic shotgun. :)

Hehe...someone should tell Satis that Toreadors are lovers, not fighters. ;)

Survived the sewers then eh? What I did at the end was just use celerity to get around, the big strong abominations are slow and usually very unperceptive, so you can speed/hide your way past them. But taking them mano a mano is tough shit, was for me anyway. :/

I LOVED the nosferatu lair...great atmosphere huh? great design too.

Hunter quest is fun. Especially if you have full obfuscate, eh BJ? ;) you can make it an ultra-sneak fest that way. It was almost too easy. Nosferatu rox0rs :P

yea, got past that. The hunter at the end was too damn easy, though. I'm pissed that my ghoul got capped. :( Poor thing. I loved her. *cry* But anyway, I'm now kicking ass in china town. I'm guessing the end is coming.

hehe...if you're already there, then yeah. Hope you'll love the end, some ppl love it, some ppl hate it. I'm a lovah. 8-)

Ooh, and flamethrower baby! that thing is absurd...I took out the Tzimisci (sp?) at Hallowbrook hotel out in 3 'shots'. And that's a 'boss' so well...on the other hand, he IS a vamp, and they are extremely vulnerable to fire so maybe good roleplaying too. Btw, you always been nice to your ghoul? Gotten the body armor off her?

Thinking about Hallowbrook makes me think of all the fun quest names

Hell at Hallowbrook Hotel (no kidding)
You Only Die Once a Night
Wherefore Art Thou, Mercurio?
The Pain of Being Mercurio
Patron of the Ancient Arts
Snuff is Enough

Etc.

While at gamebanshee (i didn't remember all those quest names by heart :P ) I saw this interview with Leonard Boyarsky of the late Troika games, about their folding:

Meh. It sucks that vampire won't get an expansion/follow-up. Great game. Also, it shows how versatile source is. What they did with the faces/convo's was awesome. imo :p

final battle was easy (yes I beat it). Did 2 of the endings...

--------------------SPOILER----------------------

so....I did 2 endings. I walked away, and I chose the 'control LA' thing. The control LA one ended up with my opening the stupid sarcophagus. If I choose the open the sarcophagus option, is it a different ending?

SPOILER

yes, BJ pretty much summed it up. There's a few choices which end in you either walking away or opening the saracphogus. Then there's a few others too which involve you siding with the Kue-Jin and the Camarilla (like, not Lacroix but the organization), but they're only open at the end if you've been on good terms with them during the game. The Kue-Jin one was...interesting. :P

So, liked it? Some people were disappointed at the endfight because they expected something would come out of the sarcophogus and would be the real endfight. But I wasn't. I thought it was glorious: turns out you've been a puppet in everything all along. All this info you get about older vampires pulling the strings behind the scenes everywhere: guess what, it's true. :) Jack isn't half as dumb as he seems and has played a game with you, the anarchs, the camarilla, the sabbath and Lacroix all his pawns...and that bomb has been in the sarcophogus ever since Jack paid the Elizabeth Dane a visit. Brilliant. In the process you wiped out the Sabbath and the Kue-Jin in the LA area, dealt a serious blow to the Camarilla and took out Lacroix and his gorilla. And what do you get out of it for doing the dirty work? nothing!

Tried auspex on the cab driver? powerful aura...that kinda gave it away. ;) Details like that make this game great. And I see you chose to open it at first and not heed the warnings, hehehe. A mate of mine won't believe I didn't open it and walked away...but I did, I felt it was fishy.

Also; liked Griffith park? 8-) Run bitch!!

griffith park wasn't that bad after I died once. I just immediately headed for buildings, ran through them, then sat around as the stupid thing tore shit up. Not as bad as I had been afraid it would be.

Ermmm...I'm kinda replaying, but I'm really torn. I doubt I'll play a third time, but I want to both go melee and play with some of the other powers. Unfortuanetly, the things I want appear to be mutually exclusive. That and it's kinda boring the crap out of me. I have a funny feeling I'm not gonna be replaying it.

if you want a good time play a malk. VERY funny to play, the insanity really adds something extra.
